Goddess Of The Underworld.
High.
Charles comes out and sits down a pot of tea before taking a seat beside his mate.
“A pleasure to finally meet you, Envy. My sons have waited a long time for you.”
“Your sons?” I almost choke on the sip of tea. “Alpha. You’re the Red Moon alpha.”

He nods slowly, casually sipping on his own tea. “For now, yes, but now that my sons have found their luna they will be ready for me to step down.”
“I’m sorry sir, but with all respect, I don’t think I can.”
“Is this because of the rumours about my sons?” Milly asks.
“They’re not really rumours when I met two of them when they had barely pulled themselves out of some she wolves, who just so happened to throw themselves at them again this evening at the dinner table.” I mutter out. They both frown and then their eyes glaze over, obviously mind linking each other and then Alpha Charles stands. “If you’ll excuse me. I believe I need to have a word with my boys.”
He leaves down the path I had come and then Milly turns slightly to reach behind her chair and pulls out a
little wooden box.
“Okay dear. Time to relax while my mate fixes a few things.” She opens it and pulls out a blunt. A fucking
blunt.
“Luna!” I gasp and she laughs, putting it to her lips and lighting the tip before taking a long draw and holding it out to me. “Just Milly to you, or Mum if you’re comfortable with calling me that yet.”
I take the blunt from her hesitantly and she laughs. “To deal with one Alpha and a whole pack, I’ve learnt to relax in various methods. You have four Alphas to deal with. You’ll need this.”
I grin at her before putting it to my lips and inhaling. It’s rough on my throat at first but after the third draw I start to feel a little better. I lean back in the chair and pass it back. Milly and I sit out here for God knows how long getting high. She tells me all about her sons and from what she tells me, they’re all sweet boys, but Xavier seems to be the most my type. He’s into bikes, a dam good shot with throwing knives, he’s dedicated to his work and role in the pack. He spends time in around the pack members, helping train them, and, he’s saved himself for his mate, for me. The younger two, she hates those she wolves and has always frowned upon whatever they have going on with them, but apparently, they’ve only been with those two, from what she knows, and they wanted to have a chosen in line in case they never found their mate. Why they would choose them, I have no clue, and the second eldest, Haiden, apparently, he did wait, three years after they turned eighteen but he lost hope and often self-medicated in alcohol and she wolves to numb the pain. Milly assured me though that despite all their faults, they would be good mates to me. That they would treat me like a queen. After some time, Alpha Charles reappeared on the pathway, with his sons following closely behind. They stopped at the bottom of the porch and Alpha Charles cleared his throat.

“Envy. My sons would like to apologise for this evening and the other days events.” He stepped aside and they one by one delivered their apologies and regrets. Milly giggled first, leaning into whisper in my ear. “They’re already little puppy dogs for you.” Which in turn made me laugh.
Xavier looks up and frowns slightly. “Mum, did you get our mate high?”
“Oh, pish posh.” She waves her hands around. “Her shoulder was clearly sore and then she had to deal with this mess as well.” She points at the younger two. “I just helped her take the edge off.”
Xavier grumbles a little and then takes the steps up the porch to kneel in front of me and assess my shoulder that was still exposed.
“I need to clean that before it gets infected. Will you…please come home, so I can take care of you, mate?” I look to Milly who’s nodding her head rapidly and smiling like a schoolgirl.
“Okay.” I sigh and surprise him when I take his outstretched hand.
“Come and hang out with me anytime you like, Envy!” Milly waves from the porch as Alpha Charles
nuzzles her into his side.
“Take care of her, boys.” He warns and they reply in sync with a “yes Alpha!” as we make out way back along the path. Xavier doesn’t let go of my hand, while Levi strides ahead, Noah behind and Haiden sheepishly comes to my other side, bumping his hand on the back of mine as we walk. His wolf whimpers loudly when I don’t respond. I roll my eyes and take his hand, if only for Talen’s sake. Haiden beams and holds our interlocked hands in front of him in awe. He places a soft his on the back of my hand before lowering it. “Thank you, love” He whispers.

When we reach the house, Levi stops in front of me and turns around.
“Luna, I do want to seriously apologize for tonight, and the other day, and every day I didn’t wait for you. I’ve been an idiot, and I am sorry. I will grovel for the rest of my life to prove to you just how sorry I am.”
“Mmm.” I hum out, not really trusting myself to say anything proper in response to him in this state.
“Me too, Luna.” Noah comes from behind to stand next to his brother but gets down on both knees as he does. “I would really like your forgiveness and to be given a chance to show you just how much you mean to me. I know I don’t deserve it but I’ll do whatever it takes.”
Haiden goes to take his turn at apologising again, but I just hold my hand up to them. “I’d really like to go to bed, please.”
“Come on, little mate. Let me show you to your room.” Xavier shows me through the house with the others following close behind. He points out where a few things are but promises to give me a real tour tomorrow. When we get to a long hallway he starts to point to the doors. “Levi’s, Noah’s, Haiden’s, that’s mine and obviously you’re welcome to come in there if you ever need anything.” And at the end of the hallway, he points to the last door. “Your room, for now. Eventually we would all like this to be our room, but when

you’re ready. No one has ever stayed in here. I’ve made sure its always been kept just for our Luna.”
