Chapter 98 Not Good Enough to Kill MeÂ
After an unknown amount of time, Nancy regained consciousness to find herself in a small alley. She had a splitting headache, and her limbs were tied up with ropes.Â
When she saw Fergus standing in front of her, her expression turned cold.Â
“So it was you?” she asked frostily. “What are you trying to pull, Fergus?”Â
Fergus squatted in front of her and lifted her chin. “That’s my line. Did you have a lot of fun today, Nancy? You acquired such a good plot of land. But did you know something? You’ve gotten me into deep trouble!”Â
He tightened his grip, and Nancy felt her jaw hurt badly.Â
Her gaze was incomparably stony. “You still refuse to admit that it’s your own fault, Fergus.”Â
“My fault? It was certainly my fault for even once thinking of treating you well! Who would’ve known you were such a malicious person?” Fergus yelled through gritted teeth. “You’re a bitch, Nancy! I’m giving you one chance right now–exchange projects with us!”Â
Nancy’s expression remained as stony as before. “Why should I?”Â
“Because if you don’t… I’m afraid you won’t make it to tomorrow.”Â
Fergus smiled and abruptly stood up. There were two burly men standing behind him, both looking at Nancy with sleazy expressions.Â
Nancy’s expression darkened. She knew that Fergus wasn’t exactly smart, but she hadn’t expected him to be capable of such viciousness. To think he was willing to use such cruel methods against his biological sister!Â
Fergus gazed at Nancy, determined to have hisÂ

way. “Do you agree?”Â
Fergus touched the saliva on his face and exploded into a fit of rage. “Fine, you bitch!”Â
He walked over to the hulking men and snapped, “I’m leaving this woman to you two! You can do whatever you want with her!”Â
The men instantly walked toward Nancy, eyeing her lustfully.Â
Fergus watched on with a sneer. While Nancy knew a bit of self–defense, she was currently tied up, and she was also faced with two muscular men.Â
Regus refused to believe that she’d still be able to get out of this!Â
When he saw the men grab Nancy’s delicate arms, he actually felt a twinge of pity. “Just agreeÂ

to exchange projects, Nancy! You’re not telling me that one project is more important to you than your own life, are you?”Â
“A project certainly isn’t more important than a human life. Unfortunately…”Â
The ropes binding Nancy’s hands behind her back suddenly fell to the ground. She grabbed one of the burly men and flipped him over her shoulder without hesitation, slamming him viciously to the ground.Â
The very ground beneath them seemed to shake.Â
She continued, “You three alone aren’t good enough to kill me.”Â
As the daughter of a wealthy family, Nancy had experienced many abduction attempts since she was young. As such, she’d long learned the art of self–defense.Â
The ring on her hand could turn into a knife that was sharp enough to at least slice throughÂ
rope.Â
She immediately proceeded to cut away the ropes binding her feet.Â
Fergus‘ heart skipped a beat. “Why are you two just standing around? Hurry up and grab that woman!”Â
The other man immediately launched an attack on Nancy. He had great strength and fists that packed a punch, but Nancy dealt with him easily. She ended the fight by sending him flying with a horizontal kick.Â
The man she’d thrown to the ground earlier had already gotten to his feet. He grabbed her wrist, whereupon she hit his jaw with a left hook. The sound of his jaw being dislocated rang out instantly.Â
“Watch out!” a deep, familiar male voice called out from not far away.Â
From the corner of her eye, Nancy saw Fergus swinging a brick at her. She raised her arm in preparation to block it, but the expected pain never arrived.Â
When she looked up, she was surprised to see Gideon’s handsome, mature face.Â
The brick hit Gideon in the back. When Fergus saw his sudden appearance, he gritted his teeth and rushed forward with the brick once more.Â
