Chapter 88 Ian Might Have His Eye on Raine
Nancy had to admit that Gideon’s idea was good.
“So, what do you think?” Gideon asked, gazing at her.
“Let’s talk about it some other time. If the person you like still hasn’t accepted you, and I still haven’t found a suitable marriage partner by then, I’ll give it some serious thought,” she said solemnly.
Gideon’s expression was unreadable. “I’ll wait.”
Nancy then escorted him out of the house.
After eating breakfast with Ian and Freya the next day, she accompanied them to inspect the project site for the auction.
The three of them walked around for an entire day. At night, Nancy arranged for them to have dinner at a revolving restaurant with spectacular scenery. From there, they could enjoy a view of the entirety of Riversdale.
“You still have such good taste, Nancy,” Ian said approvingly. “You’ve chosen the best spot for tonight.”
“Then, we’ll go all out on this project when the time comes,” said Nancy.
“Alright. Sure.”
There was a wonderful atmosphere between them.
When Christopher and Mirella exited the elevator not far away, Christopher’s eyes instantly widened at the sight of their familiar figures.
“What’s wrong, babe?” asked Mirella.
She followed his gaze and found Nancy eating with a couple who were giving off a commanding presence. She immediately covered her mouth in shock. Could the couple be from the Moore family?
“Should we go over and say hello?” she asked.
After a moment’s thought, Christopher shook his head. “Forget it. Let’s not interrupt their
meal.”
Mirella nodded, though she couldn’t help looking over anyway.
As she and Christopher sat down, Christopher’s phone vibrated. When he saw the caller’s

name, irritation appeared on his face.
“What’s wrong?” asked Mirella. “Is it Raine Lidell again?”
“Yes. She insists that I continue collaborating with them,” Christopher replied coldly.
Mirella also disliked Raine a lot. “Ignore her.”
Christopher promptly did so and simply enjoyed his date with Mirella.
Halfway through their meal, Mirella got up to go to the restroom.

Just as she came back out of the restroom, she received a call from her best friend, Ellen Hart.”
I didn’t expect you to bail on dinner with us today, Mira! You went on a date with your
boyfriend again, didn’t you?”
Mirella giggled. “Yes. Hey, let me tell you something. I met two big shots today!”
“Who?”
Mirella replied with an air of mystery, “Mr. Moore and his wife.”
“Oh my God! Mr. Moore from Moore Group?” Ellen exclaimed in surprise.
“That’s right. Both he and his wife are incredibly dignified. It’s as expected of rich people standing at the very top!” Mirella declared. “If only Christopher and I could someday be like them, too!”
Ellen laughed. “Tell Christopher to work hard, and you’ll also become the wife of a billionaire one day.”
Mirella walked out of the restroom as she chatted with Ellen.
At the same time, someone else walked out of the cubicle next to hers with a thoughtful look in her eyes.
Ian had come to Riversdale himself?
Raine glanced down at her unanswered call and promptly hung up.
She’d claimed that she had secured the deal with Christopher. As such, Andrew kept asking her to discuss the matter of the Duran collaboration with him, but Christopher was completely ignoring her.
She’d been feeling irritated by that, but then she’d overheard news of lan’s arrival.
She had some degree of understanding of Lidell Group’s businesses. Over the last two years, the companies they’d collaborated with had almost all been under Moore Group’s umbrella.
She’d once assumed that the Moore heir had set his sights on her, but then she’d learned that
Jan only had one daughter.
That very daughter was adopted, which proved that Ian was a very kind person. If Raine could gain his favor, she’d become a top–class socialite, standing head and shoulders above the masses!
Her heart thumped wildly, and she immediately left the restroom to search among the guests. She quickly locked onto a table by the window. The couple at that table looked very noble and distinguished.
