Chapter 46 Truth or Dare
Wendy thought she could teach Hillary a lesson today. However, the chance had slipped out of her
hands.
Jasmine rubbed her throbbing wrist and consoled Wendy. “Wendy, don’t be angry. There will be plenty of chances to teach Hillary a lesson in the future.”
“That bitch! I’ll definitely get Mr. Gibson to tell her off next time!” Wendy was practically fuming.
The private room on the second floor was much quieter. When Nancy walked inside, she smelled the faint scent of cigarettes.
Due to the dim lighting, Gideon’s face was obscured as he sat on the couch. He was wearing a black shirt, paired with the same tie she had given him. His physique was nothing short of perfection.
“Sit down,” Gideon said in a slightly raspy voice.
Hillary and Nancy sat on the couch opposite Gideon, while Skylar picked a seat next to him.
As Skylar sat down, he crossed his legs and flashed Hillary a half–smile.
Hillary immediately complained to Gideon, “Mr. Fuller, Wendy isn’t a good person. She tried to tarnish Duran’s reputation, yet Skylar is still willing to hang around her. He seriously has no class!
Skylar’s temples throbbed. “Shut up, Hillary!”
“Why can’t I say it? It’s the truth!” Hillary jutted her chin out in defiance.
Skylar was angered by her expression. “Honestly, you don’t have any sense of femininity at all!”
“It doesn’t have anything to do with you, anyway.” Hillary tutted.
Skylar replied, “I’m afraid you won’t be able to get married and will end up clinging to the Gibson
family.”
“Don’t worry. I’m already financially independent.” Despite her indifference, Nancy was still able to sense the disappointment in her voice.
Thus, Nancy changed the topic. “Are you guys here to have fun as well?”
Gideon flashed her a lazy smile. “Of course. We didn’t expect to bump into both of you. Why don’t we have a drink together?”
“The wine here is not bad,” Nancy commented after a look, and Gideon dutifully poured her a glass.
Hillary chimed in greedily, “I want some too. However, it’s boring to just drink. Why don’t we play some games while we’re at it?”
“What game?” Nancy asked curiously. She rarely came to clubs despite her age, so she was intrigued by everything there.

Hillary somehow found a deck of cards. “Let’s play something simple–Truth or Dare.”
Nancy nodded, clearly interested.
Meanwhile, Skylar pulled out a cigarette and was about to light it. However, he put it away after noticing Gideon’s pointed gaze.
Skylar looked at Hillary with a snort. “What are you? Five?”
“Don’t play if you think it’s childish!” Hillary rolled her eyes before eagerly explaining the rules. There will be a single Joker in the deck. Whoever draws it gets to command someone else to answer a question truthfully or perform a dare. If they refuse, they down three shots.”
Skylar glanced at Gideon. “Gideon, are you in?”
“P
When Gideon glanced at Nancy, he smiled at the curiosity and anticipation in her eyes. “Why not?”
Skylar was rendered speechless by how tightly Nancy had Gideon wrapped around her finger.
“Well, are you in or not?” Hillary looked at Skylar in annoyance.
Skylar smiled lazily. “Oh, well. I’ve got nothing better to do, so I guess I can humor you all for two rounds.”
Hillary let out a dry chuckle and began dealing the cards.
Soon, everyone peeked at their hands.
Hillary announced, “I’ve got the Joker!”
Her eyes narrowed slightly, a wicked glint flashing within them as she looked straight at Skylar. ” Text your girlfriend and tell her to get lost.”
“Girlfriend?”
“That’s right.”
Skylar leaned back against the couch lazily, giving off a dangerous charm. “I don’t have a girlfriend.”
