Chapter 214 The Heir Was Her Boyfriend 

With all eyes on her, Raine wished she could sink through the floor. 

Fergus had made a complete fool of himself. 

Quietly, she slipped away in shame. 

Nancy, on the other hand, kept her eyes on the tablet. She was familiar with surveillance cameras. There was no way ordinary footage could’ve caught something as small as a flying button. 

Out of nowhere, one of the security guards handed her a card. “Miss, our boss asked me to give this to you. This game card has unlimited credits, so you can play as much as you want.” 

Nancy blinked in surprise. Her gaze drifted past the crowd and landed on a tall figure nearby. He was watching her with a hint of amusement in his eyes. 

She finally pieced it all together. 

Gideon was the one who’d sent the footage over. 

“Thank you,” she mouthed with a smile. 

Jordan looked puzzled. “Nancy, why would they give you that card?” 

“You’ll see. I’ll take you to meet someone later.” 

“Okay.” 

Thereafter, the two cousins played to their heart’s content. When Nancy spotted Gideon by the entrance again, she tugged Jordan along to meet him. But before they could reach him, a blonde beauty walked up to Gideon. 

She batted her lashes at him and purred, “Hey, handsome. I’ve had my eye on you. Can we swap 

numbers?” 

“Sorry, but no,” Gideon replied coldly. 

Instead of being offended, she looked even more intrigued. Her lips curved into a smile. “Do you know who I am? Be with me, and I can give you this much every month.” 

She lifted her hand and showed him five fingers. 

“I guess being good–looking really can pay the bills,” Jordan commented from afar. 

Gideon’s expression didn’t so much as soften. “No.” 

The blonde clung to him for a while longer, but when faced with his unshakable indifference, she finally left with a pout.

Jordan was about to make another comment when he froze. Nancy was walking straight toward the 

man. 

Jordan’s eyes went wide. Was his cousin into that guy? 

Sure enough, Nancy stopped right in front of Gideon. “Hey, handsome. Can I have your number?” 

Jordan panicked. 

Gideon had just shot down a beautiful girl without batting an eye. He was clearly the untouchable type. What if Nancy embarrassed herself? 

He wondered if he should step in and throw the Murray family name around as leverage. They had fallen on hard times, but even a fallen giant was still a giant. 

He moved toward them while debating inwardly. 

Facing away from Nancy, yet another bold request reached Gideon–after he had just refused someone, no less. 

His eyes were as cold as ice–until he turned and saw a familiar figure. The frost melted almost instantly, replaced by a profound warmth. He found himself asking, “Why? Have you fallen for me?” 

Nancy grinned. “Yeah, I’ve got my eye on you.” 

“That’s great and all, but I’ll need to see some sincerity,” Gideon replied. 

Only just arriving, Jordan quickly cut in and held up his palm. “As long as you give my cousin your number, I’ll match the previous girl’s offer.‘

“That won’t be necessary.” Gideon reached over and laced his fingers with Nancy’s. “She’s already mine.” 

Nancy tightened her grip on his hand. 

Jordan was stunned to see this. 

Had Nancy just bagged the guy? 

Nancy chuckled at Jordan’s dumbstruck face. “Jordan, this is who I wanted to introduce you to. This is my boyfriend.” 

“Nancy, I…” Jordan stammered. “Isn’t this way too fast?” 

“He’s been my boyfriend all along,” Nancy explained. 

Jordan finally recovered. “Ah, I see. I misunderstood, then. Hello, I’m Jordan Murray.” 

Gideon extended his hand. “Gideon Fuller.”

“No. It’s exactly who you think it is,” Nancy said.
