Chapter 201 The Future Heir 

At the restaurant, Gideon was carefully peeling shrimp and feeding them to Nancy. 

Hillary and Skylar both felt a little uncomfortable as they watched this scene. 

Hillary said, “I never thought I’d see Mr. Fuller and Nancy together.” 

Skylar glanced at her before saying, “People who are meant to be together will always end up together.” 

Hillary couldn’t help but feel envious. “When will I ever find a boyfriend?” 

Skylar scoffed, picked up some food with a fork, then placed it in Hillary’s bowl. “Instead of thinking about that, maybe you should work on improving yourself. Don’t you realize that you and Nancy are from different worlds?” 

“Skylar, why would you even say that?” Hillary was annoyed. She knew full well that she and Nancy weren’t on the same level, but Skylar constantly reminding her of it only made her feel 

uncomfortable. 

Nancy furrowed her brow slightly. “Mr. Gibson, Hillary is great. We’re best friends. You shouldn’t talk like that. Are you saying that the only way to judge someone in this world is by their family background or how capable they are?” 

Gideon chimed in, saying, “Nancy’s right. Skylar, watch your words.” 

Being questioned by everyone else at the table, Skylar had no choice but to fall silent. 

Nancy looked at Hillary at this moment. “I’ve recently met some really nice young men. I’ll introduce 

you to them.” 

“Really?” Hillary was excited. “Great! I’m not asking for much. I just want someone who’ll treat me 

well.” 

Skylar’s face fell. His usual confident and devil–may–care gaze flickered with a hint of something dark. His words were still sharp as he said, “The premise of someone treating you well begins with you treating others well, too. Don’t keep dreaming that some charming prince will randomly fall in love with you.” 

Hillary sneered. “What’s that got to do with you? Are you jealous? At least I’m a normal person. No one would ever genuinely like someone like you who speaks so nastily.” 

“Don’t worry. If I wanted a partner, I could find one tonight,” Skylar taunted. 

“Well, go ahead!” Hillary responded nonchalantly. 

Skylar stared at her for a few seconds, then said nothing more and quietly continued eating. 

Hillary couldn’t be bothered to argue with him. Instead, she asked Nancy curiously, “Nancy, you must be performing the best among the heir candidates, right? Is your grandmother planning to give you the shares?” 

Nancy nodded. “Most likely.” 

Hillary said, “That’s great! Once you take over Lidell Group, make sure to teach those people a lesson! 

“But I don’t know when that’ll happen just yet,” Nancy replied. 

Right now, the most important thing to her was to get Martha’s health back on track. 

After finishing their meal, Nancy planned to visit Martha, and Gideon offered to drive her there. 

Hillary was heading back to Boraska and was about to hail a cab when Skylar casually said, “Are you leaving? Perfect. I’m heading back too, so let’s go together.” 

“Since when are you ever that kind?” Hillary asked, doubtful. 

Skylar gritted his teeth. “You can come if you want, and don’t if you don’t want to!” 

He got into the car in a huff. 

Hillary pouted but got into the car as well. If she could get a free ride back, why would she pass on it? 

Martha had been feeling better lately at Northern Hospital. 

But when Nancy arrived today, she saw Martha letting out intermittent sighs. 

“Grandma, what’s wrong?” Nancy asked as she sat down. 

Martha looked at her and sighed once more. “I saw what happened this evening. Wendy shouldn’t have done that! 

“Nancy, now that you’ve secured the top spot in the heir contest, I’ll transfer the shares to you in the next few days.”
