Chapter 200 Admit Everything

Raine sat by the bed and said, “If you didn’t take the fall, wouldn’t the production suffer even bigger losses? If you take all the responsibility, then the other three won’t get in trouble.

“Wendy, I feel for you, but think about it. If you expose them now, do you really think anyone would believe you?

“Clearly, those three are already backing each other up. Not only would you fail to clear your name, you’d also make enemies out of them. If you admit everything outright, they’ll feel guilty toward you, and they’ll compensate you.”

Raine’s breakdown of the situation slowly brought Wendy back to her senses. As much as she hated to admit it, Raine was telling the truth. Exposing them would only bring her a moment of satisfaction.

She fell silent. Then, after a few seconds, she gritted her teeth and said, “I get it.”

Not long after, she forced herself to post an apology statement, shouldering all the blame. Then, she put her phone away, too scared to look at it again. All the online curses landed squarely on her,

whereas the other three were suddenly painted as victims.

When Natalie saw this, she let out a small breath of relief. But the very next second, she saw Hillary’s

latest Twitter post.

“The framing incident has been clarified, and a scapegoat has been found, so I have nothing much to say about that. But something else hasn’t been addressed yet, has it?

“@Natalie, do you still remember our bet? Your drama is already doomed. There’s no saving it. Are you still going to drag this out?”

“My heart aches for Hillary! Finally, her name’s been cleared! But Natalie’s production is full of monsters. Natalie, shouldn’t you be apologizing, too?”

“Holy crap! Hillary’s post made me realize something. Did they just push Wendy out as a scapegoat? In that case, Wendy is kind of pitiful, but still, she deserved it! After all, she was the one who bullied Hillary.”

“@Natalie, you’d better come out and apologize!”

“I checked out Natalie’s drama series and found that its popularity is tanking. No one wants to watch it with Wendy as the lead.”

“Hillary is the best! Natalie, do you regret kicking her out now?”

Now that the truth was out, netizens began apologizing and rallying behind Hillary.

Natalie’s Twitter, on the other hand, was flooded with sarcastic, mocking comments.

Clutching her phone tightly, Natalie felt her chest sink with gloom. Just a month ago, she had been the hottest screenwriter in the industry, with people lining up to work with her. But after this mess, her standing was bound to take a serious hit.

The script she poured her heart into had gone to waste!

Why did it turn out like this? The sting ate at her, and seeing Hillary flaunt her success only made it

worse.

She opened a chat window. “I asked you to look into the screenwriter of ‘For You, All My Life.’ Did you find anything?”

The reply came quickly. “I looked into it, but there’s no real lead. Plus, the style of this drama doesn’t match any of the writers who’ve retired. I think it must be the work of a newcomer. Oh, but if I had to pick someone whose style is similar, there is one person.”

Natalie asked, “Who is it?”

The other party answered, “It’s you. I went through the entire series, and every detail is executed so perfectly. Just like your past scripts, it was truly impressive. Honestly, if you hadn’t asked me to investigate, I would’ve thought you wrote it yourself!”

Natalie froze for a moment. She hadn’t noticed that before. She went back and rewatched the drama

series, and sure enough, it did feel similar to her own work.

Could it be that this writer was her fan, deliberately imitating her?

A glint of darkness flashed in her eyes.

The only problem was that the screenwriter worked under Moore Group, and there wasn’t a single trace she could dig up.

After a moment of thought, a new idea slowly took root.
