Chapter 190 A Homewrecker 

Wendy thought Martha had no taste at all. 

Martha snorted dismissively. “I won’t deny the fact that Natalie’s last drama series was good, but this one can’t even compare to ‘For You, All My Life’.” 

“Grandma, the numbers don’t lie!” Wendy glanced at Nancy with pride written all over her face.” Our drama series is the hottest one out right now!” 

“Is that so? You meant to say yesterday, right?” Martha pulled up the rankings. 

“Doesn’t matter if it’s yesterday or today, it’s still—” Wendy was about to argue when she saw the number one spot on the drama charts flip to “For You, All My Life”. 

Her eyes widened in disbelief. “How is that possible?” 

The breakfast bag in her hands slipped to the floor, scattering everywhere. 

“Why wouldn’t it be possible?” Martha sounded a little annoyed. “It’s clearly better than Natalie’s 

drama series!” 

“No! Someone must’ve tampered with the numbers!” Wendy ground her teeth. 

She’d been counting on this drama series to earn her a fat cut. She’d then finally surpass Nancy and become the Lidell family’s official heir. “There’s no way our drama series will be beaten!” 

With that, she spun around and ran off. She immediately called Natalie to break the news. 

At that moment, Natalie had just woken up. 

She was already used to her drama series owning the top spot. Thus, hearing that Hillary’s new 

series had taken over hers left her gloomy. 

“Natalie, Hillary just can’t stand losing. She must’ve rigged things behind the scenes! We have to expose her!” 

Natalie had already sent people to check before Wendy said anything more. But the results showed that everything was above board. 

Her nerves were starting to fray. She resolutely clicked into Hillary’s drama, determined to find out what was so great about it. 

After the first episode, she sneered and didn’t think much of it. By the end of the second, her expression had started to change. By the third episode, she was gripping her laptop so tightly that her fingers ached. 

Where on earth did Hillary find a writer this talented? Was there anyone in the industry better than 

 

She then realized Nancy must have hired some old legendary screenwriter out of retirement just to help Hillary win. 

Shameless! 

Scrolling through the online chatter, her chest rose and fell in fury. 

“I guess Natalie’s out of ideas. This one just isn’t it…” 

“Honestly, it feels like a completely different writer wrote this. There’s no way the same person 

wrote both this and her last hit.” 

“Everyone, watch Hillary’s new drama series! I binged it last night and told my friends about it. They’re hooked, too!” 

Natalie slammed her palm on the table. The sting in her hand was nothing compared to the rage boiling inside her. 

These users had to be bots that Nancy bought! 

Her revised script was clearly better. How could it possibly lose to the old version? 

Nancy just wanted to see her fall, no matter the cost. 

She had always been untouchable at the very top, and there was no way she could accept someone from a poor background stepping over her. 

She was always cunning, selfish, and ruthless. Even when she “helped” Natalie back then, it wasn’t out of the kindness of her heart. It was out of pity and was only a way to make herself look generous. 

A flicker of malice flashed in Natalie’s eyes. She picked up her phone and called Wendy. “Do exactly as I say.” She then listed off her instructions. 

Wendy hesitated. “Natalie, are you sure we should go that far?” 

“Would you rather lose? If that happens, you can forget about inheriting the Lidell family.” 

“I… You’re right. I get it.” 

A day went by, and Hillary’s drama series didn’t just edge past Natalie’s. It had attracted twice as many viewers. 

Everyone was talking about it, recommending it, and hyping it up. 

At such a time, a bombshell piece of news dropped. 

A female celebrity posted on Twitter. The post read, “You guys are ridiculous, glorifying a 

 

homewrecker like this!”
