Chapter 189 The Premier

Two days later, Natalie’s drama series was skyrocketing in popularity. Hillary’s drama series was close behind, but there was always a gap.

Once again, Hillary was mocked online, but she never came forward.

At a certain university, a conversation was being had.

“Molly, I already finished the whole show. How are you still not caught up?” one roommate asked when she saw another still watching Natalie’s drama series.

“I just feel like something’s a little off, but I can’t put my finger on it.” Molly Kinders frowned.

“I think so, too. It doesn’t seem as good as her older ones,” the roommate replied.

Molly munched on her chips, finally finishing the latest episode, feeling strangely indifferent.

That was when it hit her. She knew what was off about the series now!

Before, when she watched Natalie’s shows, she’d been so excited, always looking forward to the next episode. But this time, it all felt bland. The plot was fine, but it didn’t thrill her in the slightest.

After finishing the series, she felt bored and started scrolling through Twitter, where plenty of people were still trashing Hillary. But Molly also saw others hyping up her new drama series. Thus, she casually clicked on a clip and was instantly hooked.

Hillary’s new drama series looked really good.

Since she had nothing else to do, she figured she’d give it a shot. She clicked into the first episode of ” For You, All My Life”.

Hours slipped by in silence.

“Molly, are you still watching the show? Haven’t you finished yet?” Her roommate had gone out and returned, surprised to see Molly still glued to her tablet.

But Molly didn’t answer. When her roommate looked closer, she saw Molly in tears. Startled, she asked, “Molly, what’s wrong with you?”

“It’s so good, so moving. Their love is just too heartbreaking!” Molly sobbed. “I’m already rewatching it, and I still wish there were more episodes!”

“Are you watching Natalie’s drama series?” The roommate frowned.

“No, it’s ‘For You, All My Life’, starring Hillary.”

“What? Why would you watch hers?”

Wiping her tears, Molly said excitedly, “Just watch it. You’ll definitely feel the same as I do!”

The roommate, unconvinced, pulled it up on her phone. Before she knew it, she’d binged all the available episodes.

When she finally stopped, she stretched her stiff body in disbelief. “This is amazing! Why do I feel like I see a shadow of Natalie in it? Her older drama series used to be this good, but something’s missing in her latest work.”

“Right? It’s so good!” Molly agreed, thrilled to have found someone who felt the same. She immediately started recommending it to her other friends.

Her roommate quickly did the same, and before long, the praise started rolling in.

Soon, one recommendation led to another, and the viewership of “For You, All My Life” exploded.

Late at night, as the city quieted down, the popularity of Hillary’s drama series was already starting to surpass Natalie’s.

By the next morning, it had completely crushed Natalie’s drama series.

Still unaware of the latest developments, Nancy bought breakfast and went to visit Martha.

The hospital room had a TV, and Martha was practically glued to it. When she saw Nancy, she said, I’ve been binge-watching your friend’s drama series. I haven’t seen something this entertaining in a long time.”

Nancy was surprised to see she was already on the newest episodes.

“I think so too. Hillary’s performance is excellent,” Nancy said.

“The whole cast is on point. Most importantly, you can clearly see how good the script is. The story is fascinating.”

“I didn’t know you liked dramas, Grandma.”

Martha chuckled. “Of course, I do. I just don’t usually have the time. But now that I’m in the hospital, I can finally watch more.

“I couldn’t find any other works from this writer, though. Could it be a rookie screenwriter?”

Nancy awkwardly touched her nose. “Maybe. Who knows? Perhaps she’ll write more in the future.”

“I’ll be looking forward to it. Honestly, I also watched Natalie’s latest drama series, the one everyone’s been hyping, but it’s nowhere near as good. I have no idea how she became a top screenwriter,” Martha said.

In fact, that was what many people were thinking at the moment.

But when Wendy overheard Martha, she was instantly annoyed. She entered the room carrying

breakfast, much simpler than what Nancy had brought, and said, “Grandma, how can you say that?

Every single one of Natalie’s drama series has been a hit!”
