Chapter 101 Nancy has No Shame 

Freya and Ian were left speechless once again. They had never met someone so utterly 

shameless before. 

Freya drew in a sharp breath. “Ms. Lidell, what makes you think we’d ever want to adopt you? Do you believe we have nothing better to do than make our own lives miserable?” 

Her patience had clearly run out, and she was beginning to lose her composure. 

Tears welled in Raine’s eyes as she turned to Freya. “Mrs. Moore, I have nowhere else to go.

you once say you liked me? That’s why you helped Lidell Group, wasn’t it? Mr. and Mrs. Moore, I’ve already severed ties with the Lidell family. If you don’t take me in, I’ll have no one left!” 

“Step aside. We’re going to miss our flight.” Ian cut in at this moment, his voice cold and detached. 

“Mr. Moore, I’ve truly cut all ties with the Lidell family. I’m not even their biological daughter. Please adopt me. From now on, you and Mrs. Moore will be the only parents I have!” Raine begged, her face streaked with tears. 

“Raine, that’s enough!” 

Nancy finally lost her patience. She stepped forward and shoved Raine aside. “Have you no shame? The Lidells raised you all these years, yet you’ve cast them aside just to cling to someone else?” 

Her voice wasn’t loud, but it was sharp enough to draw attention. 

Raine’s cheeks burned with humiliation. “They’re the ones who abandoned me! They told me that if I couldn’t win the Moores‘ favor, I shouldn’t bother coming home. What choice do t have?” 

“I’m sorry, but the Moore family isn’t a trash bin. We won’t take you in.” Nancy sneered 

Raine gritted her teeth, hatred flashing in her eyes before she suddenly collapsed to her knees, sobbing. 

“Nancy, I know you despise me. You think I stole the Lidell family’s love, but it’s not my fault. they never liked you! Did you badmouth me to Mr. Moore and his family? Is that why they don’t want me?” 

Her desperate display drew curious glances, and a crowd soon gathered to watch the scene unfold.

Nancy’s expression hardened. Raine was truly blinded by her obsession with marrying into 

wealth. 

“Raine, that’s enough! This has nothing to do with Nancy!” Freya snapped, her anger flaring.” The Moore family already has a beloved daughter. We don’t need you. No matter what you do, you’ll never measure up to her!” 

“Wait, is that the Moore family?” 

“With that kind of presence, it has to be. But who’s that with them? Is that Raine from the Lidell family?” 

“Isn’t she the one who publicly challenged Nanette before? What’s she trying to pull now?” 

“It looks like Raine wants to be adopted by the Moore family…” 

“Gosh! Has she lost her mind? Where does she find that kind of confidence?” 

The onlookers cast her disdainful looks, making Raine’s body tremble. She hadn’t expected Freya to speak with such sharp cruelty–so bluntly and without restraint. 

She was still just a young woman! She had severed ties with her own family to come to the Moores, yet Freya treated her so mercilessly. Wasn’t that too much? 

She couldn’t help thinking that the so–called elite families were nothing remarkable, ruthless to the core. 

Raine’s eyes grew red as she looked pleadingly at Ian. “Mr. Moore…” 

“Ms. Lidell, please stop troubling us.” Ian’s face darkened further. Taking Freya’s hand, he offered Nancy a curt farewell before walking into the airport. 

Nancy glanced at Raine before turning to leave. 

Raine quickly stepped forward, blocking her path. “Nancy, was it you?” 

“What are you talking about?” Nancy’s eyes turned icy, her tone laced with disdain. “Raine, where do you get the audacity? What makes you think the Moore family would ever want to adopt you? 

“Do you really think you’re that special? You’re spiteful and manipulative. The Moores would have to be out of their minds to accept someone like you!” 

Raine’s fury flared. “That’s exactly what you told them about me, isn’t it? I knew it! You’ve been slandering me behind my back! That’s why they rejected me. You’re the truly wicked one here, Nancy!”

She shot Nancy a venomous glare. “I won’t let you get away with everything you’ve done. Just wait! You’ll be thrown out of the Lidell family soon enough!” 

With that, she spun around and stormed off in a fit of fury. 

Nancy was left speechless. Ever since arriving in Riversdale, she had encountered an abundance of peculiar characters. 

Shaking it off, Nancy headed back to her office. 

Hannah approached her right away. “Ms. Moore, Mrs. Lidell is here.” 

“Where is she?” 

“I asked her to wait in the reception room.” 

Hearing the news, Nancy walked into the room. 

The moment Regina saw her, she shot to her feet. Her usually composed face was now haggard, and her voice shook with furious disbelief. “Nancy, did you send Fergus to the police? 

“Mrs. Lidell,” Nancy calmly started. “Why don’t you ask him what he did?” 

“Regardless of what he did, you can’t just do that!” Regina’s voice broke with disappointment. “He’s your brother!” 

“No, he’s Raine’s brother. And he tried to have me raped,” Nancy replied coolly.
