Bryce raised an eyebrow, glancing at her:[]
“Yeah, taking care of my girlfriend is pretty important.“]]
But River didn’t laugh and joke around like usual.[]
“That’s IT?”
“You know I’ve been waiting ALL DAY for you to text me back?“[]
Bryce paused, staying quiet.[]
River stared at him with this disappointed look.[]
“Whatever. Of course your girlfriend’s more important than your best friend.“]
“But we could’ve eaten together, right? I could’ve helped you smooth things over. Why hide it from me?“]
“If you don’t wanna hang out anymore, just SAY so. I’m not the type to beg, Bryce.“]
With that, River slammed down her tray and stormed off.
