Chapter 9
I looked at Jeremy mockingly. “What’s wrong? You can’t accept the thought of the tables turned? Yet, you did it and even expected me to take care of the pup and its mother.”
Jeremy refuted anxiously, “Shirley, this is different. We didn’t do it on purpose, and the pup is innocent. Why can’t you forgive us?
“After all, Rebecca and I are fated mates. It’s normal for us to have a pup. Just think of it as a matter of duty. However, the only one I love is you.”
I stared at him, and my interest in continuing the conversation waned. In his heart, he always thought of
himself first.
I snapped, “We’re over! I don’t have anything more to do with you. From now on, we’re strangers. Don’t
come looking for me again.”
Just as Jeremy was about to head forward, he was stopped by Rebecca, who had rushed over.
She sobbed, “Jeremy, I don’t want to get rid of our pup! I want to give birth to them! I promise to become
a suitable Luna. We are fated mates! You’re being unfair to me.”
However, Jeremy pulled his arm free and put some distance between them. “Rebecca, this is the pack’s decision. As an Omega, you have no right to oppose it.”
Rebecca shot me a look before sobbing even louder. “Even when Shirley has become another wolf’s Luna,
y-you still don’t want me?”
Her words only fueled Jeremy’s anger. “Shut up. If it wasn’t for the recording you sent, Shirley and I
wouldn’t be in this state. She would have never left!
“I’ve already given you so much privilege within the pack. Isn’t it enough? If I had known you were like this, I wouldn’t have let you into my life.”
With that, he made a call. Moments later, a few men arrived and took Rebecca away.
“Keep an eye on her. Make sure the pup is gone and that she doesn’t leave the pack without my
permission.”
Rebecca panicked and tried to grab him, but he flung her away. She crashed to the ground and cried in pain, “My stomach… It hurts! I accidentally hit it. Someone please send me to the hospital.”
Jeremy remained indifferent. “Do you think I’ll still believe you? Don’t worry. You’ll still be sent to the hospital. However, don’t even think of using the pup to threaten me again.”
At this moment, Hayden had already paid the bill. He held the wedding dress in one hand and my wrist in the other, ready to leave.
As we passed by Jeremy, Hayden suddenly stopped in his tracks. “Stay away from my Luna. Otherwise, I’ll
2/2
wipe out your entire pack and make your life a living hell!”
Jeremy’s expression darkened as he shot back, “You’re just taking advantage of a lovers’ quarrel. What’s there to be so proud of? What do you have that can compare to the years she spent with me?”
Hayden snorted, his chest heaving with mounting anger. “Five years. I liked her for five years, which isn’t any less than you. Plus, we have known each other for over 20 years. Who do you think you are?
“She cooked for you, stood by you, and helped strengthen your pack. How did you repay her, though? By bringing your mistress into your marital home and making her raise your bastard pup!”
I comforted him, “It’s all in the past. I was foolish back then, but I won’t do such a thing again. Besides, I have you now. Don’t waste your breath on him.”
Jeremy froze. “She told you such private details? Did you guys already…”
