Turan Out 74
Chapter 74
Jessica left the mess to Lucas and Evelyn and walked out, still feeling tipsy.
It was already 11:00 pm when she came out of Titan Bar. The cab she called earlier had already left by then.
She sat on the bench at the entrance and gently wiped the lipstick stains off her neck.
The night breeze at the end of November was chilly, but after drinking three glasses of wine, she couldn’t feel the slightest chill.
Jessica took her phone out and pressed her eyes close to the screen like she couldn’t see a thing. Her fingers fumbled, and she just couldn’t manage to hit the button for a ride.
She let out a sigh. “Billy, call honey,” she said to her phone.
“Alright, making a call to honey.”
At this moment, Zachary was in the middle of a discussion on financial issues with a few executives. The buzzing of his phone clouded his deep gaze while everyone else stared at the glaring word “Honey” on his screen.
Joshua quickly nudged his arm. Zachary froze for a moment longer, then picked up his phone. After a few seconds of silence, he finally answered.
No one was speaking on the other side, and neither was Zachary. Everyone in the CEO’s office had their eyes on him.
Joshua’s hand slid underneath the table and pinched his leg hard. Zachary shot him a sharp glance, and Joshua hurriedly pulled his hand back.
“Honey,” Zachary’s voice came through Jessica’s phone while she leaned back on the bench.
This was when she checked her phone and realized that he had actually answered her call. Wasn’t he supposed to be busy running his business, so much so that he couldn’t spare her any time?
He didn’t even text her, didn’t come home despite having one, and didn’t bat an eye when she tried to seduce him. Was he gay?
When she thought of that, she pouted and grew a little angry at him.
“Where are you?” she asked.
“At the office,” he replied.
The few executives all lowered their heads and dared not look at Zachary. For someone who

was a CEO, the way he spoke was surprisingly gentle, and there wasn’t the slightest trace of coldness in his gaze.
Jessica kept quiet. She looked at the garment she had made for him and became upset.
“What happened?” he asked.
It might have been better if he hadn’t asked. Those simple words only made her feel worse. There was no love between them, and she had no right to make demands of him.
But in the end, she couldn’t hold back her bad temper.
“Zachary, since when did you have another company in Feda?”
“What?” He pulled his phone away from his ear, looking confused.
“Mr. Jones, she’s being sarcastic,” Joshua answered softly from the side.
“It’s bad enough that I don’t get to see you at night, but you don’t even show up in the day. If you’re not in another country, then where the hell are you?
“Are you some free gigolo that I booked? So after we’ve slept together, you’re done with me now? If you regret it, then just say so. At least talk it over with me before you decide to ghost me. What’s with you disappearing on me?”
Zachary gulped, and the executives beside him pressed their lips together. No one dared to laugh, and they pretended they hadn’t heard a thing.
Jessica’s voice was loud, so everyone could hear her over the phone. Soon, she hung up.
Both Zachary and Joshua were stunned. The air seemed to freeze, and Zachary’s emotions were a tangled mess.
He’d heard from Joshua that Jessica had asked about his situation. Hearing her voice just now, he figured that she must have been out and was drunk.
Jessica’s tone hadn’t sounded right either, and this must have been what Joshua had told him -Jessica was missing him.
“They’re at Titan Bar today for the welcoming party of the two managers,” Joshua discreetly said in Zachary’s ear.
Zachary put his phone down and finally said, “Meeting dismissed.”
After that, he put on his coat and stepped out of the CEO’s office.
“When did Mr. Jones get married?” one of the executives asked.
“His wife sure is feisty,” another commented.

“It sounds like Mr. Jones got laid.”
Joshua had so much to say, but no one to tell it to.
