When Elsa read Jessica’s message, she was with Joshua, working on the design of her new apartment.Â
“Jess is feeling unwell, so she’s at the hospital. The man who brought her there is someone who has had a crush on her for years,” she shared.Â
Joshua sneered. “It’d be better to inform Mr. Jones about something like this. He can learn a thing or two at the same time, lest he keeps messaging me in the middle of the night, asking about what he should do.”Â
“You’re right.”Â
Elsa rang Zachary up immediately.Â
“Where are you?” she asked.Â
“At a house inspection.”Â
“A house inspection?” Elsa exclaimed in shock.Â
Did the CEO of a company normally have to go for house inspections personally? But before she could probe further, she heard Amanda’s coquettish voice from the other end of the call, saying, “This place is good, Zach. Let’s go with this.”Â
Elsa put the call on loudspeaker and grabbed Joshua to listen in on the call.Â
“Oh, you’re occupied, Mr. Jones? Are you standing on your feet as you inspect this house, or are you lying down?”Â
On the other end of the call, Zachary furrowed his brow. He took a brief look at the caller ID on his phone, then asked, “Why did you call, Ms. York?”Â
“I’m fine. It’s your wife who’s in trouble. Yet, you’re going on house inspections with some other woman?” Elsa mocked.Â
“What happened to her?”Â
“Where is this house inspection of yours?” Elsa probed, ignoring Zachary’s question.Â
Zachary shared the name of a building, which happened to be the same building that Elsa was in. He was on the 18th floor, while Elsa was on the top–most floor.Â
After ending the call, Elsa hurried to the elevator, while Joshua tagged along with her.Â

“What’s the name of the vixen again?” she asked.Â
“Amanda Winters. She’s the one who sat next to Zachary when we had drinks last night,” Joshua answered.Â
“That’s just great!” Elsa remarked sarcastically. She walked into the elevator and pressed the button for the 18th floor.Â
Joshua asked, “How could you be so sure that she’s a vixen?”Â
“Didn’t you see the way she was acting last night? She was so close to pouncing on Zachary. Also, haven’t you heard? She even marched right up to their place and threatened Jess to move out.”Â
Right after hanging up the call, Zachary phoned Jessica. His call only rang briefly before it was rejected. When he called her again, his call was rejected instantly.Â
He frowned. Just as he was about to click into WhatsApp to give her a video call, he heard the sound of clacking heels.Â
The door was shoved open.Â
Elsa strutted into the apartment, which was still empty and unfurnished. Joshua stood behind Elsa, urgently giving Zachary a pointed look.Â
Elsa took a quick glance at Amanda, who stood behind Zachary, trembling slightly and looking utterly pitiful.Â
Then, she turned her gaze toward the agreement in Zachary’s hands. As expected, Amanda’s signature was on the agreement.Â
“Does she know that you bought a property for another woman?” Elsa asked.Â
“I haven’t had time to tell her about it yet. Where is she? What happened?”Â
“She’s in a situation similar to yours. While you’re caring for another woman, another man is caring for her,” Elsa replied, refusing to spare Zachary a shred of courtesy.Â
The frown on Zachary’s face deepened while Amanda stepped forward urgently to explain herself.Â
“Excuse me, miss. Please mind your words. Zach has been like a brother to me for many years. It’s only right for him to care for me. However, that woman is being cared for by another man, even though it hasn’t been long since she married Zach. Isn’t that—”Â
“Amanda!” Zachary chided, interrupting her.Â

Following that, he asked once again, “Where is she?”Â
“At the general hospital.”Â
Zachary exchanged a glance with Joshua, who nodded. Thereafter, he strode out of the apartment.Â
“Zach!” Amanda called out. She was about to go after him to stop him when Elsa stepped forward to stand in her way.Â
Elsa, having witnessed situations like this one too many times, was perceptive to even the slightest hint of ill intent. It was either true that Zachary was completely inexperienced, or he was blinded by this clingy vixen.Â
“We will be neighbors in the future. This is such a coincidence,” Elsa remarked.Â
She harrumphed and walked further into the apartment to scrutinize its design. It was a small- sized apartment of 150 square feet at most, with two apartment units sharing one elevator.Â
“Is that so? You live here, too?” Amanda asked.Â
Elsa forced a smile. “I’m on the top–most level.”Â
The smile on Amanda’s face stiffened instantly. The units from the 25th floor and above were large–sized apartments with elevators that led straight to their units.Â
In other words, it was where the wealthy lived.Â
