The woman glared at him and got up to change, while he just sat there letting wine drip onto the floor, nuttering like he’d lost his mind:

wonder! I kept wondering where the subsidiary found someone who could outshine our headquarters team.

The mood lightened, dinner continued normally, but in the minds of these headquarters sharks, Jaxon was permanently labeled as emotionally unstable and unprofessional.
