“I am not as shameless as you Alex. Doing such disgustings things suits Jessica and you…not me.” I calmed myself down replying nonchalantly, making Alex rage.
“Elena! How dare you!
Did you fucking sleep with that man? Did you moan with pleasure, withering under hist body?”
Furious by Alex’s words I still endured, under no circumstances I wanted him to know about the existence of the twins, for my children should not have a ruthless father just like I had. I suffered all my life but for my babies I only wished that they would be raised with warmth and love.
“We are done Alex. This talk is over so stop bothering me. Whether I choose another man or not has nothing to do with you anymore.”
“Just sign those divorce papers.” Alex chuckled humorlessly, gritting his teeth in anger. “You shameless woman, are you so impatient for a divorce because you wish to have alimony? Do you think that the money you receive from me will make you and your lover rich?”
“Let me tell you a secret Elena, from the very beginning of our marriage I was well aware of what kind of disgusting creepy woman you were.” Alex’s words were like acid corroding my soul, each word cutting deeper than a knife making me stumped.
“So I made sure to make arrangements for this day when I kick you out of my life. You must be thinking that you might live well with my money but let me tell you, I will make your life a living hell! I will use all possible means to not let you have a single penny to your name!” I refused to let the gathered tears fall as I realised that from the very beginning Alex was only using me.
“Do whatever you want Alex. I don’t care.” With that I hung up the call.

A week passed slowly and it was my first day at my new office. I was reviewing some documents when someone called my name.

“What is that? A few thousand dollars? If you have seriously studied once in your life instead of fooling around with other people’s husbands you must have known that it can not even buy an asthmatic patient’s medicines let alone bear the cost of
treatment.
Instead of offering me this like a charity, how about you use this money to educate yourself?”
