Chapter 7
The presidential suite door was kicked open by him.
The indecent scene he anticipated didn’t appear.
Yet the sight before him stabbed deeper into his heart than any image could.
Jessica wore an oversized man’s white shirt, curled up on the sofa.
Radiating utter satisfaction.
William stood frozen at the doorway, eyes bloodshot as he shouted, “Jessica!”
William’s eyes bulged with rage, his voice a ragged, broken sound.
Hearing this, Jessica slowly lifted her head.
Fury scorched William’s veins to ashes; he lunged forward like a madman.
But an arm clamped around him like iron shackles.
Jose stood beside him now, expression darkened.
“William, barging into homes isn’t what civilized people do.”
“Get the fuck away from me!”
William roared, swinging a fist.
Jose effortlessly dodged sideways.
Grabbed his wrist, twisted hard.
A sharp crack echoed from bone.
William grunted in pain, fist forced open.
“Forgot my introduction.”
Jose’s voice stayed soft.
“I’m Jessica’s boyfriend, Jose.”
He watched William’s face freeze solid, lips curling in a smirk.

Chapter 7
“My mother’s surname is Roberts.”
“Her given name: Rachel.”
Rachel.
The name struck William’s mind like lightning.
William gaped, disbelieving. “You… you’re―”
“I’m here to reclaim everything for my mother.”
Jose enunciated each word like shattering glass.
“What your Anderson family owes her, you’ll repay tenfold.”
“Including you, dear cousin.”
He released William, flinging him aside like trash.
William stumbled backward, slammed into the wall, dazed.

TV static crackled: “Sources confirm Anderson group’s illegal asset seizure and tax evasion-$1.2 million. Stocks plummeted 9% today, still falling. Anderson group…”
All this… a trap targeting him? Targeting the Andersons?
His gaze locked onto Jessica on the sofa.
Jessica slowly closed her book, rose, and walked to Jose’s side.
Seeing William’s shock-etched face, triumph flooded her veins.
“Why…” William’s voice trembled.
He pointed at Jessica. “Jessica… why do this to me?”
“To you?”
Jose shielded Jessica, sneering coldly.
“William, what right do you have to ask?”
“When you made her crawl into your brother’s bed for an heir-what were you thinking?”
“When you let Anna burn her parents’ mementos for that baby in Anna’s womb-what did you make her?”
Jose’s gaze turned blade-sharp.
“I’ll tell you why.”
“Because I love her.”

Chapter 7
“In five years of you falling out of love-I loved her ten.”
“You shoved her away.”
“I waited.”
William crumpled like a puppet with severed strings.
His eyes, hollow with despair, fixed on Jessica.
Jessica… come home… let’s go home… I won’t press this…
Jessica watched him silently.
Watched this man she’d once loved and hated.
“William.”
Her voice was soft yet cruel.
“We don’t have a home anymore.”
