Seeing that he didn’t respond, Romina continued, “But I won’t let you help me for nothing. I can prom- ise you a condition in return.”
The man let out a low, husky laugh: “Ms. Sandoval, you really are half a businesswoman. The wellness clinic hasn’t even opened yet, and you’ve already learned how to negotiate deals.”
“I may not know much about business, but I do understand a thing or two about human nature.”

Joaquin didn’t respond, just looked at her quietly, as if trying to find something else in the depths of her complicated eyes.
The two of them stared at each other for nearly five seconds before Romina finally smiled: “Mr. Bow- man, you still haven’t answered me. Are you willing to cooperate with me?”
Joaquin’s beautiful phoenix eyes blinked twice, then he finally looked away.
He picked up the teacup on the table and took a sip.
After a moment, he said nonchalantly, “Send the information about the courtyard to my assistant later.”
Romina was momentarily stunned.
She had actually prepared herself for the possibility that he might refuse, but she hadn’t expected him to agree so quickly.
She picked up the teacup on the table: “Then I’ll use tea instead of wine to wish us a pleasant coopera- tion.”
