“You walk like that and still say you’re not drunk?” His thin lips curled up slightly, his tone casual. “So stubborn.”

“Mr. Bowman!” Romina suddenly extended her right index finger, pointing in his direction. “Step back a little.”

“What are you trying to do? Don’t tell me you want to climb over here again?”

“I… I just want to prove to you that I’m really not drunk…”

Romina stammered as she spoke.

Before the man could stop her, her hand was already on the glass railing.

“You’re not just drunk, you’re completely wasted.”

Joaquin instinctively reached out, trying to stop her from coming over.

But before his hand could touch her wrist, she slapped it away.

The next second, she quickly lifted her leg and climbed right over the glass railing.

Seeing this, Joaquin couldn’t help but feel both amused and exasperated.

The scene before him was truly unexpected.

The way she climbed the railing, the scenes of him treating patients, and even the image of her rushing into a sea of fire to save someone…

So many versions of her flashed through his mind, impossible to reconcile.

Which one was the real her?

“Ms. Sandoval, you’ll fall if you do that.”

Joaquin wanted to go forward and support her, but her current posture left him at a loss.

With her body hanging over the railing, he was truly worried she would fall the next second.

“No, I think I’m a little sleepy. I want to go back to bed…”

Romina tried to lean back, only to find she couldn’t move at all.

She was stuck on the railing, unable to move forward or back.

Helpless, Romina had no choice but to ask the man in front of her for help. “Mr. Bowman, I…”

Joaquin felt an inexplicable urge to laugh, but managed to hold it in.

He reached out his hand to her “Let me help you.”

“Thank you.”

Romina instinctively reached out her hand, thinking he was going to help her back, but to her surprise, the man wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her over to his side.

By the time Romina landed, she was so sleepy her eyelids could barely stay open.

Jericho withdrew his hand, watching as she sat directly on the chair on his balcony.

She then shumpsst over the table, slowly closing her eyes.

Seving this, Axiquin could no longer suppress the smile at the corner of his hips

Who sur, she was an ambitions

But when drunk, she was like a simple–minded child

How could a woman like this possibly do something to frame others?

She had even spent this years in prison for it.

“Ms Sudoval, wake up”

“Ms. Sandoval.

No matter how gently the man called her, he just couldn’t wake her up

This time, no matter what, he couldn’t let her stay in his room.

The first time he could get away with it, but the second time might not be so lucky

Joaquin picked her up in his arms, quickly let the balcony, crossed the room, and headed for the door, planning to carry her back to the bedroom next door

Just as he reached the door, he heard footsteps coming from downstairs

Joaquin’s room was close to the stairs, and from his angle, he could sco the man coming up from below

It was Jericho, who had left but returned

He seemed to be looking down at his phone, not noticing what was happening

Holding Romina, Joaquin quickly turned around and slammed the door shut.

“Bang-”

The loud sound of the door startled Jericho, who was coming up the

stairs.

His hand holding the phone moved involuntarily.

“Jericho, are you home yet?”

A woman’s soft voice came through the phone.

Jericho glanced at Joaquin’s tightly closed door, then looked at the room next door.

His expression suddenly darkened. “I’m home. You should get some rest. Good night…”

“Good night, Jericho.”

Nadine’s voice carried a hint of reluctance, but she still wished him good night in the end.

When Jericho opened the door, the room was empty.

“Romina? Romina…”

He called out toward the bathroom, but there was no response.

Jericho saw the beer bottle left on the balcony, and his brows furrowed slightly.

After hesitating for a moment, he walked out to the balcony.

He picked up the beer bottle and sniffed it. It seemed to have just been

drunk.

She drank, but now she’s nowhere to be seen? Where did she go?

Countless questions swirled in his mind.

At that moment, he noticed the light was on in the balcony next door, so he moved closer and called out, “Joaquin, are you asleep?”

At this moment, in the room next door.

Joaquin had just put Romina on the bed when Jericho’s voice came from the balcony next door.
