Romina had just connected Hayden to the physical therapy equipment and was about to let him rest for a while. 

A knock sounded at the door. 

The next second, the door was suddenly pushed open from 

outside. 

Hearing the sound, Romina turned around. When she saw the 

two figures standing at the door, she was momentarily 

stunned. 

Standing at the door were Jericho and Nadine. 

When Jericho saw the scene, his brows furrowed sharply. 

“Romina, what are you doing?” 

The physical therapy would take another half hour to fully 

release the fascia, and Hayden had just fallen asleep. He 

couldn’t be disturbed at this time. 

Romina quickly walked forward and lowered her voice. “Please 

come outside with me.” 

As she passed by him, Jericho quickly reached out and grabbed 

her wrist. 

The man’s expression instantly darkened. “Romina, with your 

amateur medical skills, you still want to give my grandpa 

physical therapy? Don’t get my grandpa killed…” 

“That’s right!” Nadine, standing to the side, chimed in. “Ms. 

Sandoval, do you even have a medical license? How dare you 

just give Grandpa physical therapy!” 

“I’ll say this one last time. Grandpa needs quiet rest right now. 

Please come outside with me immediately.” 

Romina shook off the man’s hand and quickly walked toward 

the door. 

Jericho, with Nadine in tow, also walked out of the room. 

Once they reached the corridor, the man’s emotions grew even 

more agitated. “Romina, this is a hospital, not your home. You 

can’t do as you please! Take all the physical therapy equipment 

off Grandpa right now. If anything happens to him, you won’t 

be able to bear the responsibility!” 

Jericho had always known that Romina had medical skills. 

But he had no idea about her actual level. 

Although during their years of marriage she devoted herself to 

her work, occasionally, when relatives of seriously ill patients 

found her through acquaintances, she would still make house 

calls to treat them. 

But she always did these things in secret, and no one knew. 

Not even Jericho, who had shared a bed with her for so many 

years. 

“Jericho is right. Even the naturopathic doctors in the hospital 

don’t dare to give Grandpa physical therapy lightly. Ms. 

Sandoval, you really are bold! Since you performed physical 

therapy on Grandpa without the doctor’s permission, if 

anything goes wrong…” 

“As long as I’m here, nothing will go wrong!” 

Romina lifted her eyelids and looked at Nadine across from her, 

her voice especially low. 

“What a big mouth you have!” Jericho’s face was filled with 

anger. “But I only have one grandpa, and I won’t let you use him 

to test your medical skills!” 

After saying this, Jericho intended to head toward the ward. 

But Romina reached out to stop him. “Do you not understand 

human language? I said not to go in and disturb Grandpa.” 

“Get out of the way!” 

Jericho’s eyes were full of anger, and his voice rose a few 

notches. 

“After half an hour, you can do whatever you want.” Romina’s 

raised hand never dropped, her voice especially stern. “But in 

this half hour, no one is allowed to step into the ward!” 

The two people in front of her were intimidated by her aura. 

Especially Jericho, whose eyes were full of astonishment. 

In his memory, this woman had always been gentle and soft, 

rarely showing such a strong side.

let her do as she pleased? 

“Today I must go in!”

Jericho reached out and shoved Romina aside.

suddenly caught her from the side. 

A familiar cool scent instantly filled her nose.

Could it be that Joaquin had arrived? 

Before Romina could even turn her head, the man’s extremely 

deep voice came from above her. “Jericho, what are you doing?” 

Jericho’s hand was already reaching for the doorknob. 

Upon hearing the voice, he instantly stopped. 

He quickly turned around and met the man’s cold and deep 

eyes. “Joaquin…” 

With the man’s support, Romina steadied herself. 

The man’s broad palm also released her arm. 

Romina quickly put some distance between them, finally able 

to see the man’s handsome face clearly. 

Nadine, standing to the side, interjected, “Mr. Bowman, Romina 

gave Grandpa physical therapy, and Grandpa seems to have 

fallen asleep. Jericho wanted to go in and check, but Ms. 

Sandoval wouldn’t let him…”
