Romina, who had been in a low mood, was amused by his words.

“I didn’t expect you to be such a flatterer…” Romina shot him a glance, her smile deepening, then changed the subject. “What order do you want me to look at? Bring it here.” 

Miguel quickly handed over the order with both hands. “It’s this one.” 

Romina glanced down at it and immediately spotted the issue. “Remove the chrysanthemum and add sweet herb instead.” 

“That’s Romina for you.” Miguel gave her a thumbs up. “It took you less than half a minute to come to such a precise conclusion!” 

“Hurry up and get to work. Prepare three packs of antipyretic and cold–dispelling herbs for me. I’ll take them with me later, I won’t be coming back this afternoon.” 

Miguel asked curiously, “Is your little ungrateful son sick again?” 

Romina shook her head. “No.” 

“Then he’s just a thankless wolf…”

Romina couldn’t help but roll her eyes at him. “Does he deserve my treatment? Even if he dies, it has nothing to do with me…” 

Miguel instantly shut his mouth, not daring to make another sound. 

Romina had originally planned to go to Beresford Manor in the afternoon, but an urgent patient arrived unexpectedly. Worried that Miguel couldn’t handle it alone, she stayed to help, only driving to Beresford Manor after resolving the patient’s situation.

Joaquin looked at her with a serious expression, but his voice carried a hint of teasing.

Romina walked to the bedside, gently soothing him. “I’m sorry, an urgent patient came to the wellness clinic, so I stayed to help for a while. Didn’t the aunt give you any fever medicine to take first?” 

“If someone else is urgent, does that mean I’m not?” Joaquin reached out his slender hand and pulled her waist close, his gaze cold. “I feel pretty sick too. Why do you seem so unconcerned about me?” 

The man’s palm was burning hot. Romina instinctively reached out and grabbed his wrist. “Why are you even hotter than you were this morning?” 

“I’ve been waiting for you to come. I haven’t taken any medicine yet. If you don’t come soon, I might really have to meet the King of Hell.”

Romina quickly picked up the thermometer and took his temperature. 

When she checked it, she was startled. “It’s thirty–nine point five degrees! You’re really tough, but how could you not take any fever medicine when you’re like this?” 

Romina quickly walked to the medicine box in the room, took out a fever pill, and brought a glass of warm water, then sat back down by the bed.
