Romina let out a cold laugh. “Who told you I did it? Was it Nadine?” 

“On the day Grandpa had his accident, Nadine’s car was sideswiped. After the police investigation, it turned out the driver was one of her anti–fans, someone who already disliked Nadine. This scandal just pushed her over the edge!” 

“Oh…” Romina said with a half–smile. “So it was an anti–fan? I suppose they finally did something right for once.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Jericho looked at her in disbelief. “Romina, do you know what you’re saying?” 

“I wasn’t the one who exposed her scandal. If you want to accuse me, please show me the evidence. Otherwise, I’ll sue you for defamation.” 

Romina stood up, staring at him coldly, her voice especially low. 

“Other than you, who else would go after her like this?” 

The smile on Romina’s lips grew even wider. “She’s been in the entertainment industry for so many years. Surely I’m not the only one who dislikes her, am I?” 

A chill flashed in Jericho’s eyes. “If I find out it was you, I won’t let you off easily.”

Before Jericho could finish his sentence, Romina pointed toward the door and said, “While I still have patience, please leave immediately.”

But in the end, he didn’t stay; he turned and left. 

Romina watched his departing figure, her hands at her sides clenching involuntarily for a moment.

Romina was sitting at the consultation desk when she saw Elliana bringing Lina to the wellness clinic. 

She pointed toward the door and asked, “Why is that dog of a man here again?” 

Before Romina could say anything, Miguel suddenly interjected, “Ms. Castro, the child is here! Watch your language!” 

“Did I say anything wrong? He really is a dog of a man!” Elliana glared at him. “You men are

Elliana shot Miguel a glare and quickly caught up. “Hey, wait for me…” 

Behind them, Miguel’s nagging voice rang out: “You’re all leaving and leaving me to work overtime alone? That’s just not fair.”
