“I didn’t sleep with anyone.” 

Romina replied concisely, without a trace of hesitation. 

“So that’s why our door wouldn’t open last night–you were fooling around with some random guy!” 

Jericho sat on the table, his long legs slightly apart, and in an instant pulled her in, trapping her between his thighs. 

“Which eye of yours saw me fooling around with someone else?” 

Romina lifted her gaze, looking at him coldly. 

Jericho reached out and yanked off her silk scarf, exposing the deep and shallow hickeys to his eyes. 

Romina hadn’t expected him to suddenly pull off her scarf, catching her completely off guard. 

“If you weren’t fooling around, then explain these hickeys on your neck!” 

Romina’s heart leapt into her throat as she saw the fierce look in the man’s eyes. 

It was obvious Nadine had stirred things up behind her back, probably without mentioning the drugging, only suggesting she might have been with another man. 

Romina still didn’t know what the person who drugged her was really planning. 

The only thing she was sure of was that the other party wanted Jericho to find out about this. 

That made Nadine the most likely suspect. 

Maybe she wanted to stir things up behind the scenes and push them to divorce for good. 

The man reached out his well–defined hand and gripped her neck, squeezing tighter and tighter.

Romina ignored him, trying to push him away. 

But Jericho spun her around and pressed her down onto the examination bed. 

The instruments on the bed instantly fell to the floor, making a loud noise.

Romina struggled with all her strength, but the man in front of her had no intention of letting 

her go. 

At that moment, a voice suddenly came from the phone lying face down on the table: “Mr. Bowman, I’ve left the documents here for you.”

Jericho quickly let go of her and rushed to the table. By the time he picked up the phone, the call had already been hung up by the other party. 

He looked at Romina in disbelief. “You were just on the phone with Joaquin? So he heard everything we just said?” 

Romina composed herself, then took the phone back. “So what if he did?” 

“So what?” Jericho instinctively reached out and slapped his own face. “You’ve made me lose all my dignity! You put such a big hat on me, how am I supposed to face him now?”

If he knew that those kiss marks were actually left by Joaquin, wouldn’t he be furious?
