Chapter 70

Camila had been eating her bun, but after what Elena said, she immediately put it down. She stood up and spun in place a few times, deep in thought, before grabbing her phone and tapping away on it.

“What are you doing?” Elena quickly pulled her back.

“I’m going to Slushire right now! I’ll kill that shameless pair!” Camila roared.

Elena smiled helplessly. “What are you saying? Calm down.”

Camila genuinely felt like killing Justin and Nadine at that moment. She had always known that Justin

was a scumbag, but she hadn’t expected him to sink this low.

This wasn’t something that could be resolved by just dumping him and cursing him out.

“They actually dared…” Camila’s eyes turned red as she looked at Elena’s leg.

Elena had always looked so beautiful when she danced, and they had actually dared to ruin her chances of ever dancing again.

Even Camila was in so much pain. How much worse must Elena have felt when she learned the truth?

Camila wiped away her tears. “Why didn’t you tell me all of this sooner? If I’d known sooner, I would’ve

gone to Slushire long ago and stood by you to teach that pair a lesson!”

“You were busy with graduation at the time. If I’d told you…” Elena smiled wryly.

Camila would probably have abandoned her degree abroad and flown straight back.

Camila shook her head. “So what? I’d rather give up that certificate than watch you suffer like this!”

“Don’t worry.” Elena squeezed Camila’s hand. “From now on, I won’t let myself be treated unfairly again.”

Camila nodded. When she finally calmed down, she added, “Luckily, you managed to understand what they were saying on that call. Otherwise, you might’ve still been in the dark about all this.”

“Yeah.” Elena lowered her gaze. “To think that I used to trust Justin so much…”

In fact, she had only learned the foreign language for Justin’s sake. Ironically, her understanding of the language was why she had finally been able to learn the truth in the end.

“Lena, what do you plan to do next?” Camila asked.

Elena clenched her fists tightly. “First, I’ll find evidence that the crash years ago wasn’t an accident, and I’ll make sure the real culprit ends up behind bars. Then, I’ll deal with Justin.”

The person she hated the most wasn’t Nadine, but Justin.

Nadine had schemed to cause that accident, which was definitely despicable.

But if Justin hadn’t been greedy, dating her while secretly having an affair with Nadine-deceiving her while indulging Nadine-then none of this might have ever happened.

So, Justin was the one she hated the most.

“I support you!” Camila said firmly. “Lena, I’ll have people look into it too.”

“Not yet.” Elena quickly stopped her. “I know you want to help, but we can’t rush this. If we’re careless, we might end up alerting them.”

The Riggs family still had influence in Slushire, and since Justin had taken over Riggs Group, it had been

thriving.

Funnily enough, a good amount of that success was thanks to her. For years, Elena had been betrayed,

but she had been helping them make money the entire time..

“Alright, I’ll listen to you,” Camila said.

Camila glanced at Elena’s leg and opened her mouth to say something, but she hesitated and stayed

silent in the end.

Elena knew what Camila wanted to say. She smiled. “It won’t heal, and that’s fine. It’s been two years, so I’m already used to it.”

Elena thought her smile looked calm, but to Camila, it was heartbreaking.
