Michael wondered if Justin had broken up with Elena because of Nadine. If that were true, then Justin was really heartless.
He felt a little indignant on Elena’s behalf, but he was mostly just interested in the gossip. He sat down in a corner, pulled out his phone, and sent a message to Justin. “Justin, did you break up with Elena?”
After Michael sent the message, Justin didn’t reply immediately.
Michael couldn’t resist stealing a few glances at Elena. She was chatting with a few women at that moment. Her bright smile made her look radiant and stunning.

Michael thought of how such a beautiful woman had followed Justin wholeheartedly for five years and given him so much. Yet, Justin had still gotten into a shady relationship with his own foster sister.
Michael wondered what was going on in Justin’s head.
After a while, Justin finally replied. Even through the message, it was obvious how frustrated he was. What kind of nonsense are you talking about?”
“Wait, so you didn’t break up?” Michael was stunned.
“How could I break up with Lena? Who told you that nonsense?”
Michael glanced at Elena again. “Elena told me herself…”
Justin immediately responded, “Where are you?”
Michael sent him the address. “Are you coming over? What’s going on? Did you two break up or not?”
“Of course not. Elena’s just been upset with me lately,” Justin replied.
That explained it. Michael knew that Elena could never bear to break up with Justin. It turned out that she was just throwing a tantrum.
“Then you’d better come over and talk to her.”
Justin asked, “How did you run into her there? What’s she doing?”
Michael replied, “I tagged along with a friend to crash a party and meet some people. Elena came with someone else. Right, why didn’t you tell me that Elena knew someone so amazing? Or did you not know
about it either?”
After Michael sent that message, he didn’t get a response from Justin. He figured Justin was probably already driving over.
With that in mind, he sneaked another glance at Elena, only to find that she was looking at him with a slight frown.
Suddenly, Michael felt a little guilty. Maybe he shouldn’t have sent the address to Justin… But then again, he had only wanted the couple to patch things up quickly.
At that moment, Elena had already realized what was about to happen.
She had noticed Michael texting while sneaking glances at her earlier. He had most likely told Justin that she was here. Michael was a huge gossip and was bad at keeping secrets.
If Justin knew she was here, would he rush over?
Elena wasn’t so sure, but she really didn’t want to see him at that moment. So the best thing she could do
was leave.
She said, “Mr. Pittman, I just remembered I have something to take care of. I’ll head off first.” Jared immediately replied, “What is it? Where are you going? Let me give you a ride.”
