Chapter 15
Elena’s mind went completely blank. A surge of panic made her struggle desperately. But Alexander, who was holding her with unyielding strength, didn’t budge an inch.
Her resistance seemed only to deepen the desire in his gaze.
“Alexander, calm down!” Elena’s voice trembled. She did owe Alexander a favor, but there was no way she could repay it with her body.
“Stop moving!” Alexander growled low. His veins stood out in his neck. “If you don’t want me to lose
control…”
His bloodshot eyes were locked on her red lips. He was teetering on the edge of losing all restraint. Yet
he fought to hold himself back with the last ounce of reason he had.
Elena froze.
She suddenly realized that his earlier words hadn’t meant what she thought.
“So… what exactly do you want me to do?” she asked stiffly.
Alexander’s burning hands pressed against her lower back, and even through her dress, she could feel the scorching heat of his skin.
Fragmented, muffled groans escaped his lips, betraying the effort he was making to stay in control.
“Lock the door, then call my people. My phone isn’t with me…”
Even as he told her to lock the door, he held her tighter.
“You… you need to let me go first…”
Alexander took several heavy breaths. Then, as if it took all of his strength, he finally relaxed his grip slightly. Elena seized the moment and shoved him forcefully.
Caught off guard, Alexander stumbled back from her push, crashing to the floor and toppling a chair with
him.
“Ah, sorry…” Elena muttered as she darted away from him.
She went to lock the private room’s door and then stood by it, pulling out her phone.
“What’s the number? I’ll call.”
With his eyes closed, Alexander quickly recited a sequence of numbers. Elena dialed immediately.
On the other end, a young man, Noah Lawson, answered.
She explained the situation clearly, giving the restaurant name and private room number. Noah responded that he was nearby and would arrive immediately.

After hanging up, Elena let out a small sigh of relief. But when she looked up, Alexander was staring at her intently, like a predator eyeing its prey.
“Alexander, calm down, your men will be here any moment-”
“Don’t speak!” Alexander’s hands clenched into fists.
She had no idea that her soft, gentle voice was deadly to him at that moment. His whole body felt as if it
were burning.
Alexander lowered his gaze, watching his sweat drip onto the polished hardwood floor.
He dared not look at Elena again. He feared that even one more glance would make him lose control and do something to hurt her.
She could have left already. Helping him make the call was more than enough.
Yet she stayed.
He knew she was holding back, afraid that stepping out would attract attention and expose his presence here. He could never allow himself to harm her.
Time dragged on, each second stretching endlessly for him. The metallic taste of blood gradually filled his throat, and he couldn’t hold back any longer. He spat out a mouthful of blood.
“Alexander!” Elena exclaimed, her voice dropping to a shocked whisper.
At that moment, someone knocked on the private room’s door. At the same time, Elena received a message from Noah, whom she had just called.
“I’m at the door.”
She quickly turned and opened the private room’s door.
Noah stood there, and behind him were a dozen men in black suits.
Without greeting her, he immediately rushed inside and helped Alexander to his feet. “Mr. Golden, you…”
