Chapter 89 

The Bentley’s door opened, and a pair of long legs stretched out from inside. 

Below the trousers, high-end leather shoes shone brightly. 

Then, a face revealed itself. 

The features were handsome and exquisite, lips sharp like a work of art. 

The nose was elegant, exuding an air of confidence. The eyes were deep and mysterious, like the coldness of an ancient pool for millennia. 

“M… Oliver?” Rita silently pronounced the name, her heart skipping a beat. William sent him to pick her up? So, he knew about her being the Thousand Faced 

Fox? 

As she thought, Oliver had already approached her. He looked down at her, hands naturally tucked into his pockets, and spoke in a clear and calm voice, “Four 

years ago, I was the one who abandoned you in the snow. Whatever compensation you want, just tell me.” 

“Of course, the only thing I can offer you is money.” He took out a check, waving it in front of her eyes, the white paper glaringly sharp. 

“What do you mean?” she asked. 

Oliver pressed his lips slightly, remaining silent. 

“I’ve already told him everything about the deception back then,” Cathy came from the other side of the Bentley. “I was too impulsive back then, and I’ve apologized to Oliver.” 

“Oliver wanted to compensate you, Miss Collins, so please accept it.” Although Cathy appeared sincere, her eyes revealed a hint of provocation. 

After being exposed by Rita yesterday, Cathy had thought it through and decided to confess everything to Oliver. Surprisingly, he forgave her and even took the initiative to help her resolve the situation. 

Cathy smiled triumphantly, and Rita clenched her fist silently. Oliver doted on Cathy to an excessive extent. Did she save the universe in her past life? 

Without revealing her emotions, Rita accepted the check and took out a pen. But instead of writing anything, she gently handed the check back, saying, “How about using all of the Harrison family’s assets for compensation?” 

Cathy’s eyes narrowed, unable to hide her disdain and mockery. Oliver’s body tensed, and even though he didn’t say anything, his displeasure was evident. Rita gnored their expressions, wearing a faint smile, as tranquil as the early spring. 

Looking at Oliver, she tilted her head slightly. “What’s the matter? You just boasted about giving me as much as I wanted, but now you hesitate to part with it?” 

‘If you’re reluctant, why bother pretending to be so generous?” 

saying that, she raised her head and walked away from the two. 

‘Rita, isn’t this going too far?” Cathy complained from behind, her voice tinged with grievances. 

Oliver remained motionless, his gaze fixed on Rita’s departing figure, not responding to Cathy’s words. 

Filled with hatred, Cathy could say nothing more. She could only put on a reluctant look and said, “Well, she doesn’t need money now since she has the protection of the Starlight Media’s boss. Oliver, I’m sorry, I was too impulsive and caused trouble, making things difficult for you.” 

Only then did Oliver slowly come back to his senses. “Just don’t do such things again,” he said, his face not looking good but his tone still relatively gentle. 

Cathy nodded obediently, “I understand.” 

After getting in the car, Oliver closed his eyes. He suddenly recalled the big eyes from the past. She had always taken care of him, considering his feelings in everything she did. Unable to see, he would always get angry at the nurses and doctors, refusing treatment, but she was the only one who could persuade him gently, rubbing his palm with hers to soothe him. Her words were always comforting and playful. If he didn’t listen, she would use various methods to deal 

with him. 

Back then, those big eyes were the only warmth in his dark world. She was clever and sensible, acting very mature for her age. But now, it seemed she had changed a lot. 

Was it because he had spoiled her too much?

Big eyes,” he softly called. 

Beside him, Cathy opened her eyes, not understanding whom he was calling. Only when Oliver looked at her did she nervously approach and ask, “What do you want to say, Oliver?” 

Oliver hadn’t spoken yet, but she quickly apologized, “I know, I was wrong. You can punish me however you want, just… don’t leave me.” 

Looking at her pitiful red eyes, Oliver suppressed the disappointment in his heart and said, “Don’t worry, I won’t leave you.” 

“But, just this once!” As he said this, his face turned cold! 

Cathy looked at him, and her heart skipped a beat. Although Oliver seemed affectionate on the surface, she could clearly feel that he often seemed absent-minded when he was with her. Last night, although she took a risky step and won his forgiveness, he became even colder towards her. 

Now, he didn’t even want to touch her fingers. 

In the taxi, Rita kept her lips sealed and her gaze fixed on the distance, completely lost in thought. Perhaps, after seeing Oliver just now, she suddenly thought of the past. 

He was going back for eye treatment. Afraid that he would be trapped in self-blame for his father’s death, she suggested that they forget about the time they spent in Evercrest Town and act as if it never happened. 

She had said this to encourage him. 

And he did forget, completely! He even forgot about her. 

After four years of marriage, she had wanted to reveal her true identity countless times. But in the end, she kept her mouth shut to consider his feelings. 

Cathy followed Oliver to Genesis Group. 

“You go ahead with your work; I can keep myself busy,” she considerately told Oliver. 

Oliver had an important meeting to attend, so he nodded and left. 

Watching him leave, Cathy lowered her eyelids and soon walked out of the office. She went to Linda’s desk and pulled her aside to a secluded spot. 

“What’s up? Why so mysterious early in the morning?” Linda asked, “Are you preparing a surprise for Mr. Harrison?” 

“No, I want to ask you something,” Cathy said. 

“What is it?” 

After thinking for a moment, Cathy combed her hair and said, “Do you know who ‘Big Eyes’ is?” 

Oliver called her ‘Big Eyes’ in the morning for no apparent reason, and Cathy sensibly felt that there must be something behind it. 

“Big Eyes?” Linda thought for a moment, then shook her head, “I’ve never heard Mr. Harrison mention it. Isn’t it just his pet name for you?” 

Cathy did have big eyes – double eyelids, shining like water. She touched her eyes and murmured softly, not saying anything further, but still feeling uneasy. 

Oliver had never called her that. 

But besides her, who else could it be? 

Unable to figure this out, Cathy remembered something else: she needed to do something quickly to enhance her image and make Oliver see only her good side, forgetting the previous unpleasantness. 

Thinking about this, she eagerly sought advice from Linda. 

Hearing her question, Linda grinned, “You’ve come to the right person. There’s something you can do. If you succeed, Mr. Harrison will be head over heels for you!” 

Cathy’s eyes brightened, and she asked anxiously, “What is it?”
