Chapter 91
Caught off guard, Nicole fell on top of Hayden.
Hayden hugged her tightly and trapped her in his embrace. He nuzzled his chin against the top of her
head.
“Nicky, you’re finally here…” His voice was filled with deep longing.
Nicole’s face turned cold. She tried to push Hayden away, but he was so much stronger than she was, and she could barely struggle against him.
She had no choice but to let Hayden hold her. Her face contorted in rage as she barked, “Hayden, did you have fun toying with me? What car accident? What critical condition? It was all part of your scheme!”
Only then did Hayden finally release her. He said with a sad look on his face, “You wouldn’t have shown up otherwise.
“Do you know how scared I was? I was so worried you’d disappear and leave me and Matt forever. I didn’t
know what else to do.”
His eyes teared up as he spoke. When Nicole saw how scared and heartbroken Hayden was, a strange emotion filled her heart. It had only been a few hours since she left home.
To search for her, Hayden had crashed a Cullinan worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and spread news that he had been in a fatal car accident, causing widespread panic and his company’s stock to plummet.
If she had truly disappeared three days later, how would Hayden react? Would he turn the city upside
down to look for her?
However, Nicole was confused. What did Hayden want by wasting so much effort searching for her and acting like he couldn’t live without her?
Nicole closed her eyes and tried to calm down. “Hayden, what’s the point of you doing this?”
“There’s no point, so can you stop trying to leave me? Can’t you stay by my side forever? If there’s a problem, we can solve it together.” Hayden looked at her with glistening, expectant eyes.
Nicole turned away and said coldly, “Not everything can be solved just like that.”
“No. Just say the word, and I’ll be able to solve anything.” Hayden sat up and looked at her with a burning
gaze.
Nicole took a deep breath and looked into his eyes. “Make Gloria leave us alone like she had in the last seven years, and have her stop keeping in touch with Matthew. Cut off all ties with Olivia and make sure she never bothers us again.”

His reaction told Nicole everything she needed to know. She sneered, her eyes filled with cold mockery.”
Didn’t you say you could solve anything?”
Hayden paused for a moment before saying, “No. You know how Matt just accepted Gloria as his godmother. If I stop them from interacting with each other all of a sudden, they might-”
“Then stop saying you can solve everything.” Nicole interrupted him.
She only made those requests on a whim. She didn’t expect Hayden to fulfill them at all.
Things were just as she expected. Thus, Nicole turned around to leave.
However, Hayden stubbornly grabbed her hand. “I’ll make Aunt Olivia, Matt, and Gloria apologize to you. Is that enough?”
Nicole couldn’t take it anymore. “How are their apologies supposed to fix everything wrong with us?”
Hayden paused, clearly confused. “What’s wrong with us?”
After hearing his words, Nicole glanced at his collar. Her gaze immediately turned cold.
She shook Hayden off as rage filled her heart. Nicole felt like she was about to throw up. As she stepped back, she looked at Hayden with disgust and hatred in her eyes.
“Hayden, I never want to see you again.”
Just like that, Nicole opened the door and left without looking back.
