After Olivia said that, she lifted her chin and gestured toward the salesperson.
“I want this watch as well. So tell me. Which one of us are you selling it to?” Olivia asked.
Gloria pulled out a black credit card at the perfect time. “We can pay for it right now.”
Nicole’s gaze landed on the black credit card and froze. There was no mistake; it was Hayden’s card.
There were only five people in the city who owned such a card. These five people were the nation’s top-
five CEOs who ran publicly listed companies.
Hayden had once said that he would let her use his black credit card as she liked. But Nicole had her own money and didn’t want to use Hayden’s card whenever she went out, so she declined his offer a long time
ago.
Little did she know that Hayden had turned around and given it to Gloria instead.
The salesperson’s eyes lit up at the promise of money. And when she saw the black credit card in Gloria’s hand, her gaze brightened even more. She quickly turned around and gave Nicole a perfunctory smile.
“I’m really sorry, but since this lady over here wants to buy this watch and can immediately pay for it, we
can only sell it to her first.”
Nicole’s expression turned cold. “I could pay for it now, too.”
She pulled out a card from her purse and placed it on the countertop. The watch was to be a gift for Shawn, and she wasn’t going to let them have it.
The salesperson looked at the card. It was a gold–plated red credit card. All the salespeople in the store
were stunned by the sight of it.
Gloria had never seen such a card before. With an amused expression on her face, she said, “Nicole, what
kind of card is this? Are you sure it could be swiped for tens of millions at any time?
“Come on. Don’t be stubborn and just let Olivia have it. Since this is what Olivia wants, we should respect
our elders and let her have the watch.”
“The premise of respecting an elder first requires the elder to act their age and be respectful,” Nicole shot
back.
Then, she looked at the salesperson. “That’s enough. Wrap this up for me.”
Olivia could sense that she was indirectly cursing at her. Her face flushed with anger, and she immediately held up the red credit card, waving it around haphazardly.
“What kind of stupid card is this? Does this card have priority over a black credit card when making purchases?” Olivia remarked.

When the salesperson heard Olivia’s suspicion, she was shocked. “Ma’am, you own a black credit card. Were you not aware of the red credit card?”
Gloria’s expression changed slightly. “Wait… Is that the red credit card handed out by the top ten international financial institutions?”
Gloria was in utter disbelief. Only shareholders of top international conglomerates could apply for that card. It could be swiped anywhere without the need for currency conversion.
How could Nicole possibly have one? Unless she was a hidden tycoon or she was from a tycoon’s family…
“Yes, that’s right. It was issued by Ten Gold Consortium,” the salesperson cut in, breaking off Gloria’s speculative thoughts. There was no longer any disdain in her gaze toward Nicole.
She quickly picked up the red credit card and bowed to the woman in the hospital gown, her gaze now filled with respect.
“Please give me a moment. I’ll have this wrapped up in no time.”
Olivia’s face turned sour. She looked at Nicole with disbelief. “Is it real? Is this red credit card of hers
superior to Hayden’s black credit card?”
Gloria clenched her jaw, and a trace of resentment flickered in her eyes. She walked toward the salesperson and prevented her from initiating the transaction.
“Hold it. We really do want this watch. Could you give me just two minutes to make a phone call?”
After she said that, Gloria turned on her phone. She dialed Hayden’s number and made the call straight
away.
When Nicole saw what she did, she froze for a moment.
The call was instantly picked up. With a soft voice, Gloria quickly explained the situation to Hayden.
“Hayden, I’m not feeling well today and probably shouldn’t even be walking around. But Olivia and I really wanted to get you this watch, so I forced myself to come out. I could only leave the hospital for half an hour, so please… could you help me?”
Nicole frowned. She could vaguely tell that Gloria was telling Hayden about what was currently happening
at the store.
Hayden pondered for a moment. He agreed to help Gloria by calling the watch brand manufacturer to obtain priority purchase rights to the watch.
The call ended just like that. Gloria walked back into the store, smiling as she looked at her phone.
“Thank you so much, Hayden. You’re the best! Don’t worry. I’ll make sure to urge Nicole to return to the hospital as soon as possible. So, don’t concern yourself with it.”
When Gloria was done speaking, she happened to stop right in front of Nicole. She raised an eyebrow at
her.

“What do we do? Hayden told me that he’s going to obtain priority purchase rights for us from the brand manufacturer,” she said provokingly.
The calm, unbothered look she usually carried had vanished, replaced by a subtle defiance in her gaze.
