Chapter 100
“Alright, I believe you.” Upon finishing her sentence, Nicole suddenly heard a gentle voice.
“Matt, do you like it here?” Nicole and Hayden turned in the direction of the voice and saw Gloria with Matthew, who had run away this morning because he didn’t want to go to the aquarium with them.
The two had matching smiles on their faces. It looked like they were getting along.
Hayden gripped Nicole’s hand tighter. He didn’t expect to see Gloria and Matthew like this. He frowned and approached them in large strides.
Nicole tried to shake his hand off, but Hayden wouldn’t budge. He dragged her up to Gloria and Matthew.
Gloria flinched under Hayden’s cold gaze and shielded Matthew behind her.
She quickly explained, “You’ve misunderstood. This isn’t what you think. I was actually-”
“I didn’t give you permission to speak.” Hayden interrupted her and stared down at Matthew unwaveringly.
He asked, “Why did you refuse to tag along with us and choose to come here with Ms. Ashford instead?”
Gloria’s face darkened at the way he addressed her.
Matthew immediately shot back, “Ms. Ashford’s my mommy too! Besides, Mommy has you with her. Ms.
Ashford has no one, so what’s wrong with my coming here with her?”
He sounded extremely sure of himself. It was like he wouldn’t back down, no matter how sternly Hayden
spoke to him.
Hayden’s expression turned cold.
Nicole pried Hayden’s hand off her and said, “I’m going to the restroom.” Then, she turned and left without
waiting for Hayden’s response.
Gloria stopped him from running after her. She looked solemn as she said, “Let’s talk about what you told
me over the phone last night.”
Worried, Hayden glanced at Nicole’s retreating figure. After making sure that Nicole was heading to the
restroom, Hayden followed Gloria to the rest area just outside the dolphin enclosure.
After taking a seat, Gloria looked at him with a bitter smile. “I thought I could go to the office with you to fetch our divorce certificate once my health improved, but now…”
“Can’t you just get straight to the point?”
Hayden frowned. He didn’t understand why she was keeping him in suspense. It was starting to annoy
him.
Now that he thought about it, Gloria was involved in all the recent events involving Nicole. No matter how

dense Hayden was, he also noticed that Gloria was growing a little too close to Matthew.
She didn’t distance herself from Matthew even after Hayden asked her to. Gloria still approached Matthew, no matter how much it upset Nicole.

Hayden didn’t know if Gloria was dense or had ulterior motives. Either way, he had started to notice that something was wrong. The tone he used to speak to Gloria was no longer as forgiving.
Gloria also noticed something amiss with Hayden. “I’m planning to buy a house here and settle down, but
my buying rights are limited because I’m not a rich entrepreneur.
“Can you buy me a house in your name? I’ll pay for it. You can allocate the house to me after our divorce.”
She didn’t wait for Hayden to respond before continuing, “However, this means we can’t get a divorce for
another two weeks.”
Hayden’s eyes darkened at that. He frowned slightly and glanced at Matthew, who was eating ice cream
beside them.
Then, he suddenly realized that even though they didn’t hide their discussion from Matthew, the child
wasn’t surprised to hear that the person Hayden was divorcing was Gloria.
