“Send all these things back! If you come here again, I’ll report you for disturbing the peace!”
Right in front of those people, Claudine slammed the door shut with a bang.
She considered herself to be a fairly even–tempered person, but Damian always managed to make her lose control.
She called Damian, telling him to get these people to leave.
But the one who answered the phone was Lindsay.
“Mr. Barrette is in a meeting! He said if you called, please wait for him at ‘Jing‘ at noon. He has reserved a table and wants to discuss something with you.”
After hanging up, Claudine tossed her phone aside.
She had no idea what Damian wanted to talk about over lunch. Maybe he was planning how to force her to leave the marriage with nothing.
As for all those things at the door, perhaps he wanted to use these fancy clothes and jewelry as sugar–coated bullets to placate her, hoping she’d give up her claim to the assets.
After all, in Damian’s eyes, wasn’t she just that kind of foolish woman!
Lindsay put the phone back on her desk.
“Mr. Barrette, Mrs. Barrette agreed.”
Damian said, “Alright, at noon, have the PR department come with me and take some photos to post on the official website.”
Lindsay paused her writing.
“Mr. Barrette, do you mean… to make Mrs. Barrette’s identity public?”
Damian replied, “Isn’t the company looking for a Valentine’s Day spokesperson? What spokesperson could be more suitable than me and her?”
“Tell the PR department to prepare well. I’ll personally review the copy.”
Seeing Lindsay still standing there, Damian looked up.
“Is there anything else?”
Lindsay had no idea why her boss suddenly wanted to publicly show affection, nor did she know what the current re- lationship was between her boss, Claudine, and Audrey.

Thinking about the work ahead, Lindsay braced herself and asked.
“Mr. Barrette, does Mrs. Barrette know about your plan? Will she cooperate with your work?”
In the past, Lindsay would never have asked such a question.
Back then, Mrs. Barrette had eyes only for Mr. Barrette. If she had such an opportunity to make their relationship public, she would have accepted it with joy.
But now…
Rumor had it that Mrs. Barrette and Mr. Barrette were now living apart.
At a time like this, would Mrs. Barrette cooperate with Mr. Barrette to promote the company’s Valentine’s Day cam- paign?
If Ms. Lavigne found out, wouldn’t she be jealous…
Damian raised his hand and adjusted his tic.
“Of course! Notify the PR department!”
Lindsay looked at her confident boss, hesitated to speak, but finally left the office.
After finishing her work, Claudine checked the time and saw it was already time for her appointment with Damian.
She changed her clothes and headed to the restaurant.
This restaurant was famously hard to get a reservation at; to dine here, you had to book at least six months in advance.
But today…
Claudine stood outside the door, looking at the empty tables inside.
Why was there not a single person here today?
As she pushed open the restaurant door, the attendant at the entrance took Claudine’s coat.
“Mrs. Barrette, this way please!”
Claudine followed the attendant inside, and as soon as she entered, she saw Damian sitting there in a black suit.
When she reached the table, Damian stood up, came to her side, and pulled out her chair for her.
Claudine sat down on the chair.
Today, she wore a Fendi jacquard knit dress, the classic large scarf making her delicate face look even more refined, and the pearl earrings on her cars elevated her gentle and intellectual aura to a whole new level.
Damian was very pleased with Claudine’s appearance today.
With a glance, he signaled the waiter to open a bottle of red wine, and elegant waltz music began to play in the restau-

rant.
Damian picked up his wine glass.
“You look beautiful today.”
Claudine thought Damian must be seriously ill!
“Damian, what exactly are you trying to do!”
Damian set down his wine glass, picked up the napkin beside him, and dabbed his lips with an air of elegance.
“I agree to your request.”
Hearing this, Claudine felt a weight lift from her heart.
He had agreed to the divorce.
She had thought that Damian’s elaborate setup today was a trap.
But now, it seemed he might have had a change of heart and was preparing a farewell meal.
Thinking this, Claudine raised her glass and clinked it with Damian’s.
After putting down her glass, a faint blush appeared on Claudine’s face.
Her expression was no longer as cold as before.
Damian calmly cut the steak on his plate, placed it in front of Claudine, and took her untouched plate for himself.
