chapter 106

“Daddy, come quickly! Claudine brought a lot of bad people, she’s trying to bully Mommy!”

Damian glanced at the video and his face instantly darkened.

“Claudine, what kind of madness are you up to!”

“Damian, you have half an hour to bring the signed divorce papers and meet me!

“Otherwise, I can’t guarantee what I might do!”

Damian had never been threatened like this before.

And now, it was his own wife threatening him, just to get a divorce!

He almost forced out his words through clenched teeth.

“You wouldn’t dare!”

Claudine turned the camera back to face the man.

“Damian, you have twenty-nine minutes left! If you don’t want this to become public, I suggest you come over soon.”

With that, Claudine hung up the phone before Damian could say anything.

Even now, Darlene still thought Claudine was afraid of making her and her father angry.

How could a child know that a heart cannot withstand being hurt again and again.

“Claudine, this time you’ve really upset me and Daddy. Even if you apologize, we won’t forgive you!”

Claudine looked at Darlene’s innocent face.

Perhaps blood really is thicker than water.

She had devoted herself to raising this child for five years, but it couldn’t compare to the few short months since Au- drey appeared.

She had long since grown cold toward this child, and naturally, she no longer felt the same disappointment and sad- ness as before.

She merely glanced at Darlene indifferently and didn’t respond.

Claudine’s gaze fell on the shelf behind Audrey,

“Do you know? I consulted a lawyer. Everything Damian bought for you-the collectibles, including this house-are considered marital property between him and me. I have the right to reclaim them.”

Claudine spoke lightly, but to Audrey, her words felt as heavy as a thousand pounds.

“These are mine, you have no right to take them!”

Audrey tried to appear calm, but the way she clung tightly to Darlene betrayed her panic.

After all, Claudine had brought so many people with her.

And she herself had no way to fight back.

The only thing she could do now was hope Damian would arrive soon.

“Claudine, if you so much as touch a hair on me, Dami will never let you get away with it!”

Claudine raised her hand and picked up the Ethereal Seraphim Sculpture.

She remembered that day at the auction, when Audrey had spent a fortune to win the sculpture.

At the time, she hadn’t known that Audrey was spending her husband’s money.

How does the saying go? If you don’t spend a man’s money, someone else will.

Claudine began to take down the items from the shelf one by one.

“Do you know why I came here today?”

Audrey was in no mood to think about that now; seeing Claudine touch her things was more painful than death, since they were all gifts from Damian!

“Put those down! Dami gave them to me!”

Claudine looked up and glanced at the hysterical Audrey.

Indeed, once a woman has something she cares about, she becomes ugly and loses all composure.

She ignored Audrey and instructed the people behind her to take everything off the shelf.

Claudine walked up to Audrey.

“I didn’t intend to cause you trouble, but do you know? Damian refuses to divorce me, and even threatened me with my brother.

“So I have no choice but to fight fire with fire.

Tell me, could it be that he doesn’t want to remarry you?”

Claudine hadn’t said these things to Audrey before, because she always believed that when a marriage is ruined by a third party, the greatest fault lies with the man.

She didn’t want to target Audrey, another woman.

But Audrey’s repeated provocations were impossible to ignore.

This time, besides forcing Damian to agree to the divorce, she also wanted to teach Audrey a lesson.

She wanted Audrey to know that she simply didn’t want to argue with her, not that she was weak and easy to bully!

“Audrey, if you have the ability, convince Damian to divorce me. Then, I promise I’ll thank you properly!”

Just as Claudine finished speaking, a man’s figure appeared at the doorway.

He wore a dark expression as he looked at Claudine.

He had heard every word that had just been said.

“Daddy!”

Darlene saw her father arrive, slipped out of her mother’s arms, and ran over on her little legs.

She threw herself into her father’s embrace and pointed at Claudine.

“Daddy, Claudine bullied Mommy and even tried to take Mommy’s things!”

After saying this, Darlene turned around and made a face at Claudine.

She thought that now Daddy was here, Claudine would surely be scared.

But what she didn’t know was that Claudine no longer cared about her and her father.

“Did you bring the agreement?”
