Chapter 19
[Sophie, I no longer have any relationship with Henry and I have nothing to do with the Taylor Family.]
Though my words were harsh, Sophie, being understanding, immediately grasped my meaning. She replied at once: [It’s my fault. I shouldn’t try to persuade others without experiencing their pain. I shouldn’t have asked you to show mercy to Henry.]
[Live well over there. If you need help, just let me know.]
I replied “OK,” turned off my phone and went back to my experiments.
Three years passed quickly.
The research results Zion and I worked on had gained wide attention.
I hadn’t expected to meet Henry in such a setting.
That day, Zion suddenly told me there was an important banquet that evening and asked me tc dress properly.
I had planned to refuse, but when Zion frowned in displeasure, I had no choice but to agree.
After spending so much time in the lab and having been a housewife for five years, I hadn’t worr high heels in eight years.

The boy grinned. “Sister, you’re so stubborn. Your heel’s rubbed raw and you still won’t say anything.”
Suddenly, he knelt on one knee and reached for my ankle. I instinctively pulled back, avoiding his
touch.
He looked up at me with clear, earnest eyes. “Don’t be afraid. I’m not a bad person. I’ve studied medicine and I can help you check your injury.”
Hearing this, the resentment and wariness in my heart still lingered. Sensing my unease, the young man took the initiative to introduce himself. “My name is Erwan Johansson. My parents are both at home. I have no older siblings, no younger siblings and no romantic history…”
“Stop! Just check it.”
Right after speaking, I regretted my impatience and secretly studied the young man in front of
He was basically reciting his household registration.
Erwan smiled and reached out to hold my foot, his gaze focused and serious.
“What are you doing!?”
