Chapter 15 Add Jeremy to Her Collection
Michelle’s proposal was quite a good deal. After all, making one phone call wouldn’t cost Catherine anything.
But she couldn’t figure out what Michelle was up to, or if she genuinely wanted to work with Jeremy. With the Zimmerman family’s resources and connections, did Michelle really need to collaborate with the Bells too?
Or was she not satisfied with Harry? Did she want to add Jeremy to her collection as well?
Catherine thought for a moment, then picked up her phone and called Jeremy. As soon as she mentioned collaborating with Bluebay, Jeremy immediately agreed. This reaction struck Catherine as odd.
After hanging up, Michelle spoke smugly. “I told you so.”
Catherine looked down. “I’ve made the call for you. You can handle the rest of the collaboration yourselves.”
“Of course.” Michelle pulled out a pen and signed efficiently, then stamped the contract.
“The project payment should arrive tomorrow afternoon. Remember to check for it.”
Catherine looked at the contract, puzzled by Michelle’s change in attitude. She hadn’t come to make things difficult after all.
Michelle smiled. “I’m a businesswoman too. Businesswomen naturally prioritize profit. But when we meet to discuss the collaboration, you should come along too.”
“We’ll see when the time comes.” Catherine called legal to collect the contract, then escorted Michelle out.
At the company entrance, Michelle stopped and smiled at Catherine. “I hope you won’t disappoint me in our upcoming collaboration. We’ll have a long-term partnership with Seraphis Group.”
Catherine glanced up lazily, and her attitude was somewhat cold. “Take care.”
Michelle waved goodbye to Catherine. To outsiders, Michelle appeared very warm. She was always wearing a bright smile that made people like her instantly, while Catherine’s coldness made her seem intimidating.
Catherine turned and went back to her office. Around 11:00 am, she received a call from Jeremy asking her out for lunch. Having canceled on Jeremy last time due to an emergency, she agreed

Jeremy came to pick her up personally, and they went to Kingswell Dining, the same restaurant where Rachel had brought her to catch Harry cheating. But she had to admit the food there was really excellent.
Jeremy was very considerate, maintaining just the right distance while being gentlemanly. The meal was quite relaxing. It didn’t feel like a business lunch but more like old friends getting together.

Halfway through the meal, morning sickness hit her suddenly. Catherine covered her mouth and rushed out. She threw up everything she had eaten.
Catherine’s eyes filled with moisture as tears slid down her cheeks, not from sadness but from morning sickness. She stayed in the restroom for quite a while.
When she came out, she saw Jeremy looking anxious and said apologetically, “Sorry, I suddenly felt unwell.”
“Let me take you to the hospital.” Seeing Catherine’s unsteady steps, Jeremy supported her and added, “You still don’t look well.”
Catherine had no strength left and let her head rest on Jeremy’s shoulder. “Sorry for the trouble.”
They took the elevator downstairs. The moment the elevator doors opened, Catherine looked up and saw Harry’s face.
Michelle spoke up at the worst moment, “Mr. Bell, Ms. Quinn, you… you two…”
She spoke haltingly, but she was clearly trying to make their relationship look suspicious. However, Catherine’s position leaning on Jeremy’s shoulder did look quite intimate.
Catherine was about to explain when she remembered they were divorced. There was nothing to explain. Even if she did, he wouldn’t believe her anyway.
