Chapter 103 How Bold of You to Ask
Harry tightened his grasp on his phone slightly. “What happened to her?”
He could vaguely recall that Catherine didn’t have that scar on her wrist back when they first got married. That meant that she only got that scar while she was married to him.
“How bold of you to ask!”
Harry’s question ignited Rachel’s rage. She continued, “Not only did you just stand by and watch when the Quinn family was in trouble back then, but you even brought that woman out and refused to return home. Have you ever considered what it was like for Cathy at that time?”
Harry felt suffocated again.
As it turned out, he hadn’t just made one or two mistakes. Without even realizing it, he had hurt
Catherine over and over.
“When her father’s accident happened, you were fooling around instead of returning home. She couldn’t take it anymore, so she slit her wrist. You should’ve seen that massive pool of blood on the floor…”
Just recalling that situation filled Rachel with fear. She wanted to tell Harry about it at first, but
Catherine forbade her from doing so.
So what if Harry found out about it? She would just add to his troubles.
Out of everyone in the Zimmerman family, Harry was the only one who was unaware of this incident.
He pressed his hand against his chest. This time, he could no longer say that he knew nothing about
- it.
So what if he wasn’t aware of the incident? He had caused Catherine so much harm.
He mumbled, “Got it.”
He used to think that compensating Catherine financially could make her feel better, but he no longer believed in that.
There were wounds money could never heal.
When Catherine needed Harry the most, he was with Michelle. In fact, when she asked him for help, he even expressed outwardly how annoyed he was with her.
He lifted his hand and gave himself a hard slap on the face. He couldn’t believe that he actually let
Catherine down like this.
Meanwhile, Catherine didn’t think that she would bump into Harry. Also, his attitude had become

absolutely strange.
It seemed like he was trying to please her.
Ever since finding out about her miscarriage, he seemed to have become a different person. Catherine figured that he actually cared about their child too.
There was also that asset transfer agreement that he gave as a form of compensation for her. However, she couldn’t understand why he showed up in the nick of time.
Also, why did he say that he had cut ties with Michelle? That absolutely came out of the blue.
He didn’t think that he could get her forgiveness just by doing so, did he? That would be asking for the moon!
After getting back home, Catherine received a call from Rachel.
“Hey, Cathy. Harry asked about the scar on your wrist earlier, and I told him about it,” Rachel said.
Catherine was taken aback momentarily. Then, she let out a nonchalant chuckle. “It’s all in the past now.”
“You’re right. It’s all in the past now.”
Rachel was also afraid of making Catherine feel down, hence her cautious tone when she spoke. She continued, “Cathy, have you considered trying for another child with Harry?”
As much as she disliked Harry, Rachel still wanted to give him a push where she could. She wasn’t going to allow Jeremy to take away such a wonderful daughter–in–law from her.
Catherine fiddled with her garment as she rested her hand on her knee. After a long silence, she
replied, “No, not really.”
