Chapter 101 Getting to Know Her After Losing Her
Anyone who squandered a sincere heart deserved a lifetime of suffering.
Harry set the drink in his hand down, staring at Jeremy. “It seems like Catherine hasn’t accepted you either. That means we still have the opportunity for a fair competition.”
His words amused Jeremy. “Harry, I won’t give you the chance.”
Harry rose to his feet, looking like his usual noble self again. “That’s not up to you. I’ll never give her up to you.”
Jeremy’s competitive spirit was ignited. “Let’s compete and see who Cathy chooses to be with in the
end.”
Right now, it irked Harry to hear Jeremy refer to Catherine as “Cathy“.
Catherine was Harry’s wife. Whether in the past or in the future, she would always be his legally wedded wife.
“You didn’t have a chance ten years ago, nor do you ten years later.”
Jeremy scoffed. “How cocky of you to say that.”
Harry harrumphed coldly, then turned around and left.
Jeremy was as calculating as ever. He came up with the idea of moving into the place above Catherine’s. No wonder he was able to get to her almost immediately when she had met with that incident previously.
After Harry left, Jeremy gave his assistant a call. “Acquire the building that I’m living in.”
He picked up his glass and took a sip, raising a brow slightly as he thought to himself. “Thinking of getting a chance to get close to Catherine, Harry? Over my dead body.”
After getting downstairs, Harry instructed Adrian to purchase the unit below Catherine’s. Since he was here to fight Jeremy, the best way to do so was to move closer to Catherine.
Adrian soon replied, “Mr. Zimmerman, all the vacant units around Mrs. Zimmerman’s are sold out…
“Go and negotiate with the owner. We’ll pay more for the purchase of their unit.‘
Harry furrowed his brows. He should have bought it earlier if he had known that that was the case.
Adrian held his breath momentarily, his voice weakening slightly. “Mr. Zimmerman, Jeremy Bell is
the owner of the unit.”
Harry fell silent.

Adrian added, “It shows that the purchase was made three minutes ago…”

Harry let out an exasperated laugh. He couldn’t believe that Jeremy actually thought of stopping him. Jeremy was truly going all out for Catherine’s sake.
Since Jeremy purchased the unit, naturally, he wasn’t going to give it up to him. So, Harry had no choice but to think of something else.
After some consideration, Harry chose to purchase a unit from the building across from Catherine’s.
Not only that, it was on the same level as hers. He could see her in her unit, even if just as a faint
silhouette.
Harry couldn’t understand—while he clearly had so many opportunities in the past to get to know Catherine, he only wanted to do so after he lost her.
All of a sudden, Harry was reminded of the times when they were very young. Catherine loved tagging along with him, but he always felt annoyed by how clingy she was.
Because their families maintained quite a good relationship, he met her often. Though he only
treated her like a younger sister at the time.
Never did he imagine that she would have feelings for him.
Harry let out a sigh. What good would it do to look back on it now? What he had to do now was to win
her back.
Unfortunately, Catherine made it absolutely obvious that she was repulsed by him, leaving him with no feasible excuse to approach her.
As Harry sat on the balcony, he could see Catherine working in her room. He got lost in his thoughts, watching her.
After Catherine sent a file over to Adam, she looked up, massaging her slightly sore neck. The moment she lifted her eyes, she realized that someone seemed to be watching her from the building across from hers.
Due to the significant distance between the buildings, she assumed she was just too sensitive. That person might have happened to step outside for some fresh air.
When she noticed that the person had left, she lowered her head once again to get back to work.
Two types of drugs had progressed to the clinical trial phase, so she and Adam were busy with the
application process to get the drugs registered.
After she was done with work, she stroked her lower belly subconsciously.
