Normand was scared stiff by that look.

But there really was something important now, I didn’t dare to put it off,”Mr. Dunbar, you asked me to look into the people at Glory Fencing Club, there’s news now…”

Hearing that, Jovana’s heart skipped a beat.

Armando looked unsure, glanced at Jovana, and when he pulled her up, he could clearly feel the sweat in her palm.

Armando paused, squinted at Normand.

“Let that person in!”

Normand nodded and agreed.

In three minutes, a woman wearing a Glory Fencing Club uniform walked in. She wasn’t tall, round and chubby, had short hair, and

looked timid.

When she saw Jovana, she widened her eyes, pointed at her and said, “Yeah, that’s her. She came to Glory Fencing Club this morning, right after you left, Mr. Dunbar. Mr. Lowe came down to get her himself!”

As soon as she finished speaking, Jovana clearly felt those big hands holding hers suddenly grip tighter.

“Really?” The man kind of smiled, kind of didn’t, and didn’t get mad.

Jovana felt a bit flustered, her teeth stumbling over her tongue, and she shot back, “You trust her, not me?”

Armando narrowed his eyes and looked at the woman coldly, “Do you know what happens if you lie?”

The woman was so flustered she almost fell to her knees, “Mr. Dunbar, how would I dare lie to you! Mr. Frasier told us himself today to keep our mouths shut and not let out anything about him meeting with Ms. Atherton!”

Jovana felt a weight in her chest. She could clearly feel the man beside her had changed. He pressed her wrist with his rough hand, not too hard or too light, and it made her shiver.

If we kept talking like this, nobody could tell what would happen.

She didn’t want to drag Harland down.

Calming herself down, Jovana looked closely at the determined woman in front of her and asked coldly, “Are you a staff member of Glory Fencing Club? When did you start working there? What exactly are you responsible for?”

“Ms. Atherton, were you doubting me?”

Jovana squinted her eyes and didn’t say a word.

The woman calmly took her work ID out of her bag, “Mr. Dunbar, I’m telling the truth. Your reputation for spoiling Mrs. Dunbar is famous in Los Angeles. I just couldn’t stand seeing Ms. Atherton lying to you!”

These words hit Armando’s sore spot and also touched on the dignity a man could never let anyone trample on.

Even the calmest person couldn’t stay completely calm at this moment.

Jovana’s chest tightened. She looked up at Armando without thinking, her lips pale.”I think there’s something wrong with this

document…”

After she said it, she regretted it, gave a self-mocking tug at her lips, and scoffed at her own ridiculous grievance. How could Armando ever help her…

“Take it and check.” The man’s deep, cold voice was firm.

He held her hand tight.

Jovana paused for a second.

Normand took the ID from the woman and had someone contact the relevant departments to check them one by one.

Waiting was always torture.

Jovana’s heart was pounding…

The woman stood by and swore, “Mr. Dunbar, how would I ever have the guts to lie to you?”

Normand glanced at her, walked over and said, “Mr. Dunbar, the ID really was real…”

The man’s face suddenly darkened, and he said hmm with an unclear meaning.

Jovana heard the hidden darkness in his tone. She knew this man-the calmer he was, the angrier he got.

The woman saw this and still looked like she was enjoying the drama, “Mr. Dunbar, I’m telling the truth. I saw it with my own eyes his morning. Not long after you left, Ms. Atherton came in a taxi. Mr. Lowe went down himself to get her and took her to Mr. Frasier’s room. They stayed up there for more than half an hour!”

As she spoke, she even took out her bank card, “If you don’t believe me, you can check it. There are remittance records in it. If you still don’t believe me, you can have a professional check the IP and see where the money came from. Was it from Harland?”

‘And it wasn’t just this, the cameras at Glory Fencing Club were actually working fine, so why did they just happen to break at that exact time? I thought Mr. Dunbar would find out as soon as he checked.”

The words were out.

It felt like the temperature in the room had dropped to freezing.

Jovana’s face changed a lot, and she couldn’t help getting a bit flustered. She didn’t expect that Harland had bribed the staff at Fencing Club after she left, and she really didn’t expect things to get so out of control in the end…
