Chapter 79.
“You knew what I was like, I couldn’t stand anything in my eyes, I got jealous, I saw you with other guys, I got so jealous I could die.” He didn’t mention Harland at this moment, afraid Jovana would get even angrier. “Baby, I was wrong, I was an asshole, I was a jerk, I just bullied you, can you hit me back, please?
As he spoke, he grabbed her wrist and slapped his own face with it. That’s when he realized he’d just lost control and left bruises on her wrist, which made him feel even more guilty.
“You could hit me or yell at me, it’s all fine, just calm down…”
Jovana’s eyes were red, and she just looked at all this with indifference.
In his eyes, saying those insulting things to her and treating her so rudely all just came down to being jealous?
Armando wasn’t always chill about this before, he got into fights with guys who went after her. Young love was impulsive and intense.
And now, he took it all out on her.
It was just a man’s bad nature. Even if he didn’t want his stuff anymore, no one else could touch it.
Some things already changed a long time ago…
Jovana felt so bad it hurt, even breathing was painful.
At one point I was so mad, I really wanted to spill everything and seriously question him:
He could cheat? He could party around outside?
Why couldn’t she be around men? Even if she really had something with Harland, he had no right to say a
word about her!
Jovana closed her sore eyes for a second and pulled away from his arms, still wanting to leave, “Let’s break up for now.”
Break up?
When he heard that, Armando felt terrible. He grabbed Jovana and stood in front of the door, “Don’t go.”
Jovana quietly dodged away, turned around to pack her stuff on the bed, and grabbed her phone and jacket.
Seeing Jovana didn’t look like she was joking, she really meant to leave.
Armando finally realized how serious this was. He hurried over and grabbed the thing from her hand, his voice rough.”It’s late now. It’s not safe for you to go out. I’ll go. You’re still hurt. Stay in the hospital.”
Jovana just stayed silent, didn’t even look at him, cold like a little hedgehog with its spikes up.
Armando saw that and didn’t dare say anything else, afraid she’d get mad. Before leaving, he lowered his voice and said sorry again. When he turned to go, even his back looked lonely.
With a click, the door was shut.
Jovana’s tears suddenly fell, and she cried quietly.

< Chapter 70
She walked around the room in circles, not even knowing what she was looking for in the end, then squatted down, hugged herself, and cried hard.
How did it end up like this?
The words he once swore, saying he’d love her forever, had turned into insults that stabbed her in the heart today.
The hands that protected her also became the ones that hurt her.
Armando, didn’t you say you’d love me forever?
“Didn’t we agree on that?”
Jovana hugged herself, like a kid abandoned by the whole world, crying so hard she could barely breathe.
After Armando left the hospital, his childhood friend Xavier happened to call. Where are you? Come out for a drink. Everyone’s here.”
Armando looked defeated, feeling pissed with nowhere to vent, “Send me the address.”
“Hey, not putting Jovana to bed tonight?” Xavier teased him on purpose.
Armando wasn’t in the mood to argue with him and just hung up the phone.
The cold wind slapped his face and blew hard into his open collar. He didn’t care. After getting in the car, he floored the gas pedal like he didn’t care about his life.
He really lost control tonight, actually hit Jovana, and said such awful things.
If it had been before, how could he have let it go?
A name flashed through my mind-
Harland!
It was all him, and it affected his relationship with Jovana.
Armando’s eyes suddenly turned really dark. He was thinking about going to Glory Fencing Club
tomorrow…
It was a half-hour drive, but he got there in ten minutes.
Xavier and his group were all there. When they saw him come in, they all made room for him to sit. Seeing how down he looked, they started teasing him, “What, struck out with Jovana?”
Armando was known for being calm and collected in the group. Over the years, except for Jovana, they hadn’t seen anyone else who could make him so down.
Someone said without fear of death, “Women are just a spice. If one doesn’t work, just change to another…”
