Chapter 70.
“Next time again-”
Armando brushed against her lips, just for a second, but it sent chills down her spine.
To him, a lover was just for fun, and Juliette happened to be smart and obedient, plus her body and face were just his type. When he was in a good mood, it wasn’t a problem to give her some sweetness.
But once it went over that line, especially if it was about Jovana, that was his bottom line.
Juliette’s face went pale bit by bit, and she got really flustered.
She didn’t expect Armando to react like that. Not only did he not stay with her, but he also gave her a cold look.
She’d been with Armando for these past few months, and she’d never been treated like this before. Jovana was already unclear with Harland, and he still favored her like that?
She really underestimated Jovana’s place in his heart…
Juliette bit her teeth in jealousy.
Took a deep breath.
She held Armando’s big hands in both of hers, her eyelashes trembling pitifully, and said in a weak voice, “Mando, I know I was wrong, don’t be mad… I’ll listen to you from now on…”
Armando’s eyes glanced over her swollen cheek, and in the end he let go, then reached out and touched the soft back of her head.
“I thought you were obedient…”
It was clearly a gentle voice, but Juliette still heard the warning in it: warning her not to think about things she shouldn’t, not to touch what she shouldn’t.
To put it simply, it was just to make her see her own place.
Juliette bit her inner lip, feeling wronged, and agreed against her will.
Armando kissed her forehead with satisfaction, “Be good. I’ll have Normand handle things at the police station. As for work, put it on hold for now. I’ll arrange something for you later. Just stay in the hospital and recover for these days. I’ll come see you again in a while.”
Some time later?
That sounded really vague.
Juliette’s heart felt like it was soaked in something sour, really hurting.
However, Armando really wasn’t in the mood to stay with her anymore. After saying a few words, he didn’t stay a moment longer.
The door of the ward opened and closed again, and a cold wind blew in.
Juliette sat on the bed like she had no strength, her eyes all red, just staring as Armando left without a second thought… He didn’t even look back at her.

Not even once.
Clang!
Juliette suddenly waved her hand and knocked all the bottles and jars off the nightstand onto the floor. The broken glass was sharp and jagged, just like the feelings she had been holding back.
In just a moment, she smashed everything in the hospital room that could be smashed, and the whole place was a mess.
When Erin came in, she was startled by what she saw.
She frowned and looked at Juliette, who was sitting on the bed looking all down. She walked over and said, “What happened? Didn’t Mr. Dunbar come to see you? Everything seemed fine just now, so why did he leave again?”
Thinking of something, Erin hurriedly grabbed her shoulders, “Mr. Dunbar wasn’t going to break up with you, was he?”
Juliette looked confused and explained what had happened.
“That bitch Jovana, I didn’t expect her to be so capable. I really didn’t get what charm she had that made both guys go around her!”
Erin was clenching her back teeth, pacing anxiously around the room.
Suddenly, she paused and gave Juliette a meaningful look.
Juliette looked a bit confused and frowned, “What’s wrong, Mom?”
Erin walked over and whispered something in her ear…
Here.
When I was going downstairs, Normand called.
“Mr. Dunbar, I found Harland’s schedule. He was going to Glory Fencing Club tomorrow.”
There was a flash of violence in Armando’s eyes. “Postpone the lunch with Mr. Moreno tomorrow morning. And don’t let anyone know about this, especially Jovana.”
Normand didn’t say much, just said, “Got it.”
The call hung up.
The coldness in Armando’s hadn’t faded yet.
eyes
Jovana was his precious girl since high school. If there was anything between Harland and her, he really could have killed to keep it quiet…
Bang!
Armando punched the wall.
He closed his eyes for a moment, took a deep breath, pushed down that restless urge, and then left to go to the hospital room to find Jovana.
However, when I opened the door to the hospital room, there was no one inside.
