Chapter 41.

Armando hung up the phone.

His mood didn’t calm down for a long time, and the veins on his hand holding the phone stood out. He looked up toward the bedroom, his eyes sad and fierce… A thought quietly came to his mind.

He got through to Normand on the phone-

The next day.

Jovana opened her eyes and saw a bunch of fresh pink roses on the nightstand.

Her heart skipped a beat, and her fingertips suddenly clenched the sheet under her.

After she married Armando, he would bring her a bunch of flowers every time he came back from his morning exercise…

The flower shop was really far, but he never got tired of it.

The neighbors all envied her for having a good husband, and said, He’s still so romantic and sweet after getting married.

Yeah, they should’ve had a really good life after getting married…

Jovana looked at the flowers, and her eyes started to sting.

After a long time, she finally lowered her eyes, pushed down that tangled bitterness in her heart, and got out of bed to wash up and get dressed.

In a bit, she was going to see Harland.

When I went downstairs, Armando was busy in the kitchen. His tall, handsome back looked full of life, and outside on the dining table was the breakfast he’d made…

This moment.

Jovana couldn’t help but zone out.

Last time, when were the two of them together and had such a great time?

“So you woke up this soon? I was thinking of letting you sleep a bit longer.”

Armando noticed Jovana, and his tone was full of affection.

He walked over, put his arm around her shoulders and had her sit on the stool, “There’s still an oatmeal, I’ll go get it.”

Jovana snapped out of it a bit. She held his arm lightly and said in a neutral tone, “No, I have some urgent work. I’ll just eat at the office.”

Armando was a bit slow.

A wave of indescribable sadness came over him and made him feel awful.

Jovana didn’t use to turn him down so coldly… He spent the whole morning cooking, and Jovana always

gave him lots of emotional support.

Instead of now, not salty or bland, not a single warm word.

His eyes darkened, “Vana…”

Jovana just glanced at her watch, patted his arm like smoothing fur, and said perfunctorily, “It’s getting late, I’m leaving first.”

Armando looked at her back, his eyes dark.

Meti

He grabbed a sandwich from the table and caught up with her, putting it in her bag in a way that didn’t

allow her to refuse.

“Your stomach wasn’t good, don’t just eat anything.”

Jovana was in a hurry, so she didn’t say no. She just gave him a smile and left.

Didn’t notice the look on Armando’s face behind me as his smile slowly faded-cold and shadowed.

He took out his phone and made a call, watching Jovana walk away. His voice was low and cold, “Follow Jovana.”

…

The ad partner we talked about meeting a few days ago had some free time.

Met at Jasmine Manor.

Jovana had been busy with this these days because of the new product.

Finally got a chance.

“What was up with this Juliette? She slacked off on such an important thing and had no sense of time at

all!”

Vonda was upset. She grabbed a bottle of water and handed it to Jovana, “Ms. Atherton, I’m not trying to complain, but Mr. Dunbar really had bad taste. Even someone like Juliette got picked!”

“She didn’t have some big shot backing her, right?”

“Well, she really acted spoiled, didn’t even respect you as the manager… what kind of person is that.”

A look of pain flashed across Jovana’s face.

Armando spoiled Juliette so much, wasn’t she getting a bit too full of herself?

She swallowed her sour, bitter throat and glanced down at her watch to hide it.

At that moment, a car slowly pulled up in front of her.

The car window rolled down, showing Juliette’s little face with perfect makeup.

“Sorry, Ms. Atherton, I haven’t had much of an appetite lately and couldn’t eat much. I even threw up yesterday. My boyfriend felt bad for me, so he came over this morning to bring me some food, and that

made me a bit late.”

“Ms. Atherton was such a generous boss, she probably wouldn’t mind, right?”

She smiled brightly, sat in the car, looked down at Jovana, and deliberately poked at her pain.

Jovana stiffened a bit and thought of the breakfast in the morning.

So, Armando also thoughtfully did something for Juliette?
