Jovana dragged her tired body home and slapped her forehead in frustration. The suit jacket tied around her waist kept reminding her of everything that had just happened.
She only knew people called him Mr. Frasier. She had no idea what his full name was.
If she did, she could find a way to get his contact and thank him properly later.
Jovana sighed and walked through the gate.
As soon as she walked into the living room, she smelled a strong smell of smoke.
Armando was sitting on the sofa smoking, looking troubled.
When he saw her come in, wearing a man’s suit jacket, he frowned.
He quickly got up and walked over.
Then, he started questioning her.
“Whose suit jacket is this? Who were you just with? Why did you come back so late?”
Three questions came in a row.
Jovana couldn’t help but want to laugh when she heard that.
What right did he have to question her?
She looked up at him and asked back,“Armando, weren’t you having a good time at the club? Why can’t I enjoy my moment out there?”
When Armando heard this, a trace of nervousness flashed across his face, and all the questions he’d been holding in got stuck in his throat.
He then grabbed her shoulders and gave an awkward smile.
“Vana, stop joking. Xavier and the others kept me there. That’s why I didn’t come back. Don’t you believe me?
“But you. Where did you go so late at night? And who sent you back? Also, whose jacket is this?” Armando’s tone got serious.
At the same time, his grip on her shoulders tightened a bit nervously.
Jovana sneered silently. Noticing his nervousness, she actually found it funny.
Men were just like this. They could fool around outside, but they would require their women to stay at home and stay faithful to them.
Jovana looked at Armando and chuckled with a bit of mockery.
‘Armando, you took my phone, so I couldn’t get a cab.”
Just one sentence made Armando lose for words, and he became visibly flustered. “Your phone…”
Jovana gave a light sneer. She really didn’t feel like dealing with him right now, and she also didn’t wanna cause any trouble.
Anyway, she would leave soon.
So, she pushed his hands off her and lied casually, “It’s Kraig’s jacket. I’m having my period, and the blood got on my pants, so I borrowed his jacket. He also gave me a ride back.”
Kraig Hendrix was Kraig Hendrix’s childhood friend. Even if Armando went to question Kraig, Kraig wouldn’t spill anything and would keep
it a secret.
As expected, after hearing that, Armando wasn’t as jumpy as he was just now.
He caught up with Jovana, putting one arm around her shoulders.
Then he explained anxiously, “Vana, I really didn’t know about the phone. You probably left it on the sofa in the club. I only found it after I went back. I thought you’d already gone home. I didn’t know something like that would happen. Sorry.”
He looked at her with deep affection.
If Jovana hadn’t seen with her own eyes him holding Juliette and kissing her, and if she hadn’t seen them flirting, maybe she would’ve really believed what he said.

Jovana stopped and looked at Armando with a faint smile, saying, “It’s okay. I wanna take a shower now. Don’t follow me.”
After finishing her words, she pushed him away and walked straight into the bedroom.
Armando stood there and rubbed his face in regret.
Jovana said those words so casually and calmly, but he just couldn’t help feeling panicked.
In the bathroom, after Jovana cleaned and dried the suit jacket, she put it in a bag and stored it away.
When she went out, she saw a cup of hot cocoa and a midnight snack on the nightstand.
The lights in the room were set to a warm tone. It was her habit.
Obviously, it was all prepared by Armando.
Jovana paused while drying her hair, and complicated feelings spread in her heart.
When they were together, Armando had always taken really good care of her.
Meras
Back then, when they were not on speaking terms, he would secretly make her a nice meal or buy her some small cakes, and she would forgive him right after.
But this time, he cheated on her.
It was a matter of principle.
She couldn’t forgive it.
Jovana sat on the edge of the bed, staring blankly at
nightstand.
Suddenly, the phone charging nearby buzzed.
It was her phone.
Afraid of missing any work messages, she wiped her tears and hurried to check.
But when she saw the message on the screen, her heart suddenly skipped a beat.
