Chapter 116. 

The first time he didn’t come home all night and came back, he made her breakfast feeling guilty. When she asked him about it, he thought he was hiding it really well. 

The first time he snuck out to eat and came back, he practically wanted to treat her like an empress and wait on her hand and foot. Little did he know, the perfume smell on his clothes had already given him away. 

At that time, he was traveling with his lover in another city. She was at home alone, feeling wronged and scared. The huge emotional gap made her feel lost for a while. She didn’t understand why someone who loved her so 

much would cheat. 

Sometimes I even thought in a self-deprecating way, could he think about their past? Could he… remember their old feelings and not leave her? They used to be so good together. 

That was so pathetic.

I don’t know if it was because of the story Jovana told that scared Armando, but after that, he just wanted to stick to her all the time, like a golden retriever trying to please its owner. 

If it was the old Jovana, she would’ve been too happy. 

But now, it was the physically and mentally exhausted Jovana. 

“I’m going to the bathroom. Grandma should be back soon. You go ahead, I’ll be there in a minute.” She gave him a little push and got up to walk to the door. 

“I was with you, we were going over in a bit, if grandma saw me but didn’t see you, she would start nagging me again.” 

Armando held her hand tight and went out with her. 

At that moment, a cell phone rang at the wrong time. 

Jovana whispered, “Work call, you answer it, or you’ll be late…” 

Armando looked at his phone screen unhappily, frowned, hung up, put the phone in his pocket, held her hand, and said, “Work isn’t as important as you.”

Kaitlynn felt pretty upset and gave Jovana in the mirror a cold look, mocking, “I really underestimated your patience. Didn’t expect you could put up with so much.” 

Before she could finish, Jovana suddenly turned around and slapped her.
