Chapter 109. 

Seeing this, Fiona pouted in frustration, but couldn’t stand the intimidating look from the man. In the end, she could only lower her head and apologize, “Sorry, Ms. Atherton, I was being rude. It won’t happen again.” 

Armando was pretty satisfied. He lowered his eyes to look at the person in front of him, and his cold gaze gradually softened.“Calm down, okay?”

Kaitlynn forced a smile, “It’s getting late, let’s just drop this. Everyone, let’s head to the dining room first…” Armando nodded slightly, took Jovana’s hand and walked toward the restaurant. He said gently, “Didn’t you say last time you wanted to try the seafood chowder made by our chef? I asked him to make some extra.”

Armando frowned and felt like something was off.

Armando paused, gave the file right in front of him a baffled look, then turned to walk toward Jovana, thinking, I can check it out later.

“Just had a twitch… probably caught a chill.” Jovana let out a small sigh of relief. 

“Let you crave the cold.” 

He said that to scold her, but Armando still wrapped her hand in his palm to warm it up and reminded her, “Don’t use cold water anymore, okay?” 

Jovana replied dully, staring blankly at the worried look on the man’s face. She couldn’t help but wonder… If Armando really read that document and knew she was leaving forever, what would he do? 

Knowing his temper, he probably would’ve gone crazy and could’ve done anything wild. 

There was no what if. 

She wouldn’t let him know. 

He lied to her for nine years, and he had to pay

Jovana gave a bitter smile, lowered her eyes, and there was a hint of determination in them, but her heart still hurt. 

At that moment, Kaitlynn walked into the dining room, saw the documents on the little coffee table, and suddenly realized she forgot to put them away after going over the contract with the lawyer last night. She quickly told the maid to quietly take them away later. 

Luckily, Armando didn’t see it, or else her careful plan would’ve been ruined!
