Chapter 101. 

In the study. 

Armando yanked off his tie and tossed it aside, then called Normand. 

“How’s it going at the hospital?” Thinking of Jovana’s gentle little face, Armando felt even more guilty and said coldly, “Wasn’t she doing fine? They said she’d wake up tomorrow, so why did she fall into a coma!” 

He also only found out that the woman had passed out in the evening, and his surprise and confusion were no less than Jovana’s. 

Normand faced Armando’s pressure, all nervous, “That woman’s situation really surprised us, we didn’t expect it either…” 

Armando pressed hard on his temple, “Keep a close watch! Let me know right away if anything happens.”

After hanging up, Armando was still pissed off, mostly at himself, and ended up trashing the whole study. 

It took him a long time to calm down, then he went downstairs and made a cup of red bean milk tea for Jovana. 

He knocked on the bedroom door carefully, his voice gentle, “Vana, I made some red bean milk tea, have some. 

In the room, Jovana just twisted open a red marker and put an X on a number on the calendar. 

Only 17 days left and I could leave this prison. 

She was actually pretty curious about how Armando would react when he saw her “body.” 

Pain? 

Jovana pulled at her lips, but the bitterness in her smile was hard to hide. 

“I went to bed, didn’t have much appetite, didn’t want to drink.” She said coldly to the outside. After putting down the marker, she sat on the small sofa with her tablet and started drawing design drafts. 

She could only calm down when she was sketching. 

“You didn’t have dinner, your stomach would feel bad soon, drink something warm, okay?” Armando said gently. 

Jovana didn’t say yes again, just focused on her drawing, and chatted a bit with her teacher, Lindsey Pratt. 

Lindsey texted, “There was a really strong competitor in this contest, just as good as you. You had to do your best.” 

Don’t worry, Ms. Pratt.” 

Anyone who could make Lindsey say that was definitely not ordinary. Jovana took note of it seriously and was actually pretty excited about this opponent. 

Dusk was falling. 

After Jovana finished this version, I realized two hours had already passed. 

I didn’t eat dinner, and now my stomach really didn’t feel good. It kind of hurt. 

Jovana put down the tablet and went downstairs to look for something to eat. As soon as she walked into the kitchen, she saw that the food warmer was still plugged in, and there was a sticky note on it. 

It was left by Armando. 

There was food being kept warm in the food warmer, and there was orange juice in the fridge. You could just open it and drink it. 

Jovana looked at that line of words, and her chest felt sore and tight. 

Armando used to be like that too, he always got everything ready for her.

She teased him and said he was like the worm in her belly. 

He just smiled and said nothing, but the love in his eyes almost melted her heart. 

In the end, Jovana didn’t eat either. After she poured herself a glass of water, she went back to her bedroom. 

The phone charging on the nightstand started buzzing. 

Jovana thought it was Lindsey calling and wanted to talk to her about the design draft, so she just picked up. 

“I’m Juliette, don’t hang up yet, I have something to tell you.” Juliette introduced herself right away. 

Jovana frowned and hung up the phone without hesitation- 

Juliette laughed, sounding sarcastic, “You know, can’t you just change your temper? Otherwise Armando kept coming to me…” 

Jovana froze for a second, and for some reason, she just headed to the study without thinking. 

Opened the door, and there was no one inside. 

Her temple twitched, then she went to the bedroom to look for someone- 

On the phone, Juliette’s mocking voice kept going, “A marriage without love is like a cage, Jovana. I really admire how shameless you are, holding onto that spot for so many years.” 

At the same time, the bedroom door was opened, but there was no Armando inside. 

ovana felt like someone had poured a bucket of cold water on her, freezing her from head to toe. 

A few hours ago, that man was coaxing her with his head down, and now he was going to find Juliette? 

He didn’t even have that bit of patience for her anymore, wasn’t even bothered to deal with her. Since he couldn’t make her happy, he’d just go find someone who knew better.
