Chapter 87 

Valerie and Sonia were hung in mid–air, left and right, respectively. It was as if they were balanced on scales. Their backs were toward the sea while they faced the deck ahead. Even if they didn’t drown in the ocean, there was still a risk of being eaten by marine predators. 

Sonia had already recovered consciousness and was now screaming hysterically at Lucius. ” Save me, Mr. White! Save me!” 

Valerie was much quieter compared to Sonia. She was wondering how exactly these uninvited guests had snuck their way on the cruise ship, as well as how they’d managed to drug every single passenger onboard. 

Caelus cackled maniacally. “I can’t believe you were sleeping with both of them at the same time. You really are quite something, Lucius. I’m just not sure which one among the two matters more to you… Say, why don’t we play a game?” 

He then gestured to Sonia and Valerie. “I’ll give you a choice, on account of us being blood- related. Say the word, and I’ll release whoever it is you choose to free. How about it, Lucius? Isn’t this a fun game?” 

Lucius tried to examine Valerie and see how she was doing. But there was a great distance between them, and the sea wind was blowing in their faces. All Lucius could see was that both Sonia and Valerie had been bound at the hands and tied to the mast. 

Caelus made a gesture, and his men swiftly brought him a remote control. As he fiddled with it, the mast began swiveling around. 

Sonia and Valerie had originally been hung side by side, so they’d just fall on the deck at most. But now that Caelus had moved the mast, Sonia was hanging above the sea while Valerie 

remained above the deck. 

“If I press this button on the remote, that woman falls into the ocean,” Caelus said evilly. 

Sonia kept on pleading for her life, now absolutely terrified. “I don’t want to die, Mr. White!” 

Caelus then clicked the remote control again. This time, Sonia’s and Valerie’s positions were switched. 

But Valerie remained shockingly calm, no matter what transpired next. She didn’t cry for help 

or make a fuss. 

Lucius forced himself to avoid looking at her. Caelus would surely torture Valerie with all his might the moment he saw that Lucius cared for her. That was why Lucius had pretended to be unaffected when Valerie and Sonia were revealed to be bound in the air earlier.

“Who was it that helped you get the invitation to come on board, Caelus?” Lucius asked. 

Caelus sneered. “Don’t try to make me reveal my secrets or foolishly buy more time to figure out an escape plan for yourself. I’ve cut off all communications devices on this ship. There won’t be a miracle to save you today, Lucius.” 

Lucius remained grounded and calm even in the face of such a threat. “I’m afraid you have no say about whether or not there’ll be a miracle, Caelus.” 

“There’s no use wasting time on nonsense like that, Lucius.” Caelus snickered evilly. “I told you to choose between these two women. Only one may live. I’ve already given you a choice. If you refuse to make a decision, then I’ll have to do it for you.” 

Sonia was currently hanging above the deck. Caelus gestured at her with a snicker. “This chick has quite a shrill voice. You must love the sounds she makes in bed. Why don’t you choose her instead?” 

Lucius‘ expression remained sullen. 

“Don’t you want her to live? Never mind, then. I’ll switch to the other one for you.” Caelus then used the remote control to shift Valerie back over to the deck. He looked like he’d just 

found something interesting to play with. “This chick’s really sexy. Why don’t you choose her 

instead?”
