Chapter 36
The other two women hadn’t expected Valerie to have such a short temper. They fumbled for their phones and shoved the post in her face.
The user who exposed Valerie as a kept woman called themselves “Anonymous Bystander“. The post included a photo sneakily taken at night, which was blurry but clear enough to show Valerie wearing a cap and pulling a suitcase into the Azure Bay area.
Azure Bay was an exclusive neighborhood for the elites and a place where ordinary wealth
couldn’t buy.
Even if Valerie was rumored to be the long–lost daughter of the Woodwards, the Woodward
family’s status in Windmere still paled in comparison to that of Azure Bay residents.
Everyone knew about her strained relationship with the Woodwards since the first day of school, so seeing a nighttime shot of her arriving at Azure Bay was all it took for the rumors to explode into juicy gossip.
According to their imagination, Anonymous Bystander had spun an entire story from that one
photo and created a sensational tale of a woman still in university being kept by a rich man.
But Valerie was no pushover, and Zero, her hacker alias, wasn’t just for show. If the keyboard
warrior thought hiding behind an ID meant no consequences, they were wrong. Valerie was
about to teach them a lesson.
In under three minutes, she traced the poster’s true identity. Unexpectedly, yet not entirely surprising, it was Aurelia. She had seen Valerie as a love rival since day one.
When it came to setting up pranks, Valerie was a professional. She texted Aurelia and summoned her to the rooftop, adding that if she didn’t show up, Valerie would hand evidence of the defamation to the police.
Ten minutes later, Aurelia arrived alone without her usual underlings. The moment she saw Valerie, she launched into defensive mode. “What gives you the right to accuse me of defamation?”
Valerie responded with a sharp slap across her face.
Caught off guard, Aurelia clutched her cheek and snapped, “How dare you slap me!”
Valerie grabbed a fistful of her hair, hauled her in front of a phone, and forced her to watch a
video.
On screen, Aurelia was far from her aloof campus queen image. She was partying wildly with a group in a private room, clearly in a state of euphoria.

Having just been slapped, Aurelia was ready to tear into Valerie. But by the time she was done watching the video, her jaw dropping in disbelief, her face had turned completely ashen.
“Where did you get the video?”
It couldn’t be! She’d been letting loose that night, but everyone at the party was a trusted friend, so how could anyone have secretly recorded a video?
Valerie wasn’t about to tell her that it was obtained through hacking. Aurelia wouldn’t have to
be so afraid if she had nothing to hide, but as far as Valerie was concerned, she could dig up secrets on Aurelia, and each could crack under a little pressure.
She couldn’t be bothered to waste more words on Aurelia. “If you don’t want your fascinating private life exposed all over the internet, you’ll have to show me your sincerity.”
With the evidence now in Valerie’s hands, Aurelia lost all her earlier confidence and stuttered, “W–What do you want me to do?”
Tapping Aurelia’s slightly swollen cheek with a pen, Valerie said, “You have one hour to clear my name. If your defamation post and its damage are still up after that, the name ‘Aurelia White‘ will top the most viral searches by this time tomorrow.”
