Chapter 150 

Valerie’s next skill landed clean and shot straight at Wang Zhaojun, freezing her right to the spot. Then, she unleashed a rapid series of basic attacks. 

Wang Zhaojun was no pushover either, as she cycled through its ultimate and regular skills. Just as her freeze was about to land, Cai Yan’s Sweetness Overload skin boomed around her and avoided the attack. 

Wang Zhaojun unleashed her ultimate, certain that the low–health Cai Yan would die. But Valerie instantly swapped items and sold Sweetness Overload for a Sage’s Protection. 

Furious, Wang Zhaojun fought Cai Yan to death with a sliver of health left. 

Everyone expected Cai Yan to fall with the final attack, but Valerie swapped items and bought Sword Slash instead. In the next second, Wang Zhaojun collapsed at her feet. 

As Cai Yan took the time to heal herself to full health, Aurelia frantically called out, “Fall back now, both of you!” 

Sensing the danger, Arthur and Ming began teleporting back to the base. 

While their recall bars filled, Cai Yan calmly advanced down the bottom lane with a single minion and attacked the crystal. A few basic attacks later, the crystal was one tap away from breaking. 

Arthur finally made it back to the base alongside Ming and rushed to kill Cai Yan, but the latter cut Arthur down with a volley of basic attacks. Now, only the support remained on both sides. 

With Cai Yan built for attack, Ming was no match and collapsed just a few basic attacks later. 

The system announced, “Triple kill!” 

“This isn’t right! Valerie must be cheating!” Aurelia shouted. 

Just then, Parker’s Yao respawned in the jungle. Flapping his giant wings, he charged at Valerie, whose Cai Yan stunned him with her first skill before spamming her second and third skills to heal. All the while, she unleashed a barrage of basic attacks and slowly whittled Yao down to a sliver of health. 

As Parker sensed the danger and tried to recall to heal, Valerie flashed forward and finished him off. 

Quadra kill! 

Aurelia’s Consort Yu finally respawned. Furious, she charged straight at Valerie, convinced that a marksman could easily overpower a support. 

Still, Valerie’s Cai Yan was a dark–core fighter hidden in a support’s skin. Their one–on–one basic attacks dragged on evenly matched, with neither gaining the upper hand. 

By then, Owen and Yvette had respawned and were rushing to support her.

Still waiting to respawn, Parker warned Aurelia, “Don’t waste time on Cai Yan! Come back and clear the minion wave!” 

But Aurelia ignored him and was determined to take Cai Yan down. 

With the crystal under attack by the Lord’s minions and nearly destroyed, Parker shouted, “If you don’t clear the wave, we’ll lose!” 

Finally realizing that she couldn’t afford to keep fighting, Aurelia turned to clear the minions. She was already reduced to low health by Cai Yan, and with just a few hits from the Lord, her health bar plummeted dangerously. 

Now fully healed, Cai Yan closed in menacingly and tossed a skill in Consort Yu’s way as the latter fought the Lord, killing her. 

Penta kill! 

With the enemy team wiped out, the crystal shattered in that same instant. No one had expected the first game to end this way. 

Even Yvette couldn’t believe that Cai Yan, a support, could have such terrifying damage. 

Owen exclaimed in amazement, “Valerie, are you sure you only played a few rounds back then?” 

“Just a few. I’m not that good.” Valerie grinned innocently. Owen was at a total loss for words. 

Across the room, Aurelia exploded at her teammates after losing the first round. “Are you sure you’re all top–ranked players? There are so many of you, yet you couldn’t even handle one Cai Yan!” Parker’s group had no reply to that.
