Sharon forced a pale smile at Rick and Richard. “The original shares Mom left me are about to be released. Once they are, I’ll have the right to enter the Kalen Group and take part in major company decisions.”
Rick’s expression darkened, and he instinctively protested. “But you don’t understand anything. Getting involved in company decisions–wouldn’t that just be reckless?”
Sharon’s expression remained unchanged. “It doesn’t matter. If I don’t know, I can learn.”
“Business isn’t something you can just pick up overnight. You-” Rick began, but his words were swiftly cut off.
“If she doesn’t know, I can teach her,” Carter interrupted calmly. “Wendy told me Sharon isn’t just brilliant at the violin, she’s always ranked first in her studies, too. With her intelligence, as long as someone guides her, she could master the core of business management within a year. That won’t be a problem.”
Sharon glanced at Rick’s stormy face and smiled.
“Originally, I planned to settle the date of the acknowledgment banquet with Dad after my competition ends. But my hand is injured, and it needs time to heal. This month won’t be possible.”
She paused to think, then added lightly, “Why not next month instead? On the very day my shares are released, I’ll return to the Kalen family. It’ll be a double celebration.”

“Since Sharon has such plans,” Richard said with a smile, “there’s no problem.”
“Good. Then it’s settled,” Sharon replied.
After a few more words of concern, Richard and Rick left the ward together.
Once they stepped out of the hospital, Rick finally spoke up, “Dad, are you really planning to let Sharon into Kalen Group? Managing a company isn’t child’s play. Sharon has no business foundation at all. Under normal circumstances, she wouldn’t even be qualified for a receptionist role, let alone an executive position.”
Richard’s voice was even. “Sharon’s hand suffered a serious injury. It’s natural she feels wronged. Jamie truly went too far- no wonder she’s unhappy. With her hand ruined, she needs something to occupy herself. Handing her a vacant executive title or two is hardly difficult. If she wants to dabble, let her. Otherwise, she’ll brood endlessly. exhaustion.
