Chapter 922
Xavier didn’t waste a second on hesitation. He hadn’t even stepped out of the airport before he called his
assistant.
“Arrange the fastest private jet to Listoria City. Mobilize every available man closest to the area. And one more thing…” His voice sank to a low, commanding timbre. “Look into Julliard’s recent movements.”
The moment he ended the call, Xavier lowered his gaze in thought, then immediately dialed Julliard’s number.
No answer.
He didn’t have time to waste on unanswered calls. Within minutes, he boarded the plane bound for Listoria City.
Fortunately, Listoria City wasn’t far from Amstern City–barely a two–hour flight. Even so, by the time Xavier arrived, night had already fallen.
During the flight, his assistant had compiled a detailed report on both Julliard’s and Sharon’s recent whereabouts.
Sharon’s activities were ordinary enough–mostly tied to competitions. Nothing suspicious.
But Julliard… he had apparently been attacked not long ago and hospitalized.
Since Listoria City was Julliard’s territory, the available information was limited. What Xavier held in his hands was far from complete.
He scanned the file, brows furrowing in thought.
For someone like Julliard to be attacked wasn’t exactly surprising.
And while Sharon’s disappearance was troubling, what made Thomas so certain it was tied to Julliard?
When Xavier tried to call Thomas again, the line was already dead.
He guessed Thomas must also be on a flight rushing this way. If he were nearby, he wouldn’t have called–he would have come in person.
“Julliard…” Xavier murmured the name under his breath.
He knew Julliard had helped Sharon before–she hadn’t hidden that from him.
Though his own contact with Julliard had been limited, he had heard plenty from Sharon and Wendy. Both held him in high regard.
And Xavier had seen him a handful of times himself. Julliard carried the air of a gentleman, refined and polished. Julliard was the kind of man who seemed approachable, but in truth was the hardest to draw close to.
So why would someone like him betray Carter to protect Sharon?
Xavier’s eyes sharpened.
Sharon had vanished in Julliard’s territory. Could it be… that Julliard was the one hiding her?

The possibility couldn’t be dismissed.
Carter’s divorce from Sharon had Kelly as its spark, but his two sworn brothers had fanned the flames as well.
Nate was obvious enough–a lapdog devoted to Kelly.
And Julliard…
With his intelligence, he could have easily given Carter a timely reminder, perhaps preventing the rift between him and Sharon from reaching that breaking point.
Instead, had he pushed matters further from the shadows?
Xavier’s first instinct was that Julliard had imprisoned Sharon.
He hadn’t been around lately–business trips had kept him occupied. He had no idea of the conflict between Jamie and Sharon, nor had Wendy or Sharon ever mentioned it to him.
Turning to his assistant, Xavier ordered, “Get Simon on the phone. Have Carter’s men track down Julliard’s whereabouts immediately.”
He could deploy his own people, but this was Listoria City–Julliard’s turf. If Julliard intended to hide, finding him would take time.
Time Sharon didn’t have.
With her whereabouts unknown, every minute lost was a risk.
For once, Xavier set aside his grudge against Carter. Sharon’s safety came first.
At the hospital, Julliard’s expression darkened as he listened to his men’s report.
Still no trace of Sharon.
The longer she remained missing, the harder it became for him to stay put within the hospital walls.
