Loving DAD 911

Chapter 911

Julliard nodded. “Yeah. Back when I studied abroad, I often had to cook for myself.”

Wendy’s curiosity sparked. “Where did you study?”

“Marcentine,” he replied.

Wendy brightened. “What a coincidence! Sharon and I studied there too.”

A faint smile curved Julliard’s lips. “Yes… That’s quite the coincidence.”

With him lending a hand, Wendy naturally joined in as well.

After breakfast, Julliard said, “I’ve already sent people to investigate the assassin from yesterday. We’ll have results within the next couple of days.”

“Thank you,” Wendy said sincerely.

He only smiled in response before excusing himself to take a call and leaving.

Three days later, the investigation was complete.

Sharon and Wendy were settled into one of the Macaron Group’s hotels.

Watching Sharon’s retreating figure as she left, Julliard murmured under his breath, “If only she could stay forever.”

But he knew her nature too well. The closer he drew, the farther she would retreat. Forcing her to remain even three days had already been pushing the limit.

Still… it wasn’t nothing. At least he had shared those three days with her-eaten meals she had cooked, tasted the medicine she had prepared. With no Carter, Xavier, or Thomas at her side, even the air had felt lighter and cleaner. 1

It gave him the illusion that Sharon belonged to him alone.

But happiness was always fleeting.

While Carter remained unconscious, Xavier preoccupied, and Thomas on leave, he needed to act-use this window of time to close the distance between him and Sharon. Otherwise, when those three returned, his plans would become ten times harder… and far easier to expose.

After she left, Julliard slowly pushed open the door to the room she had stayed in.

Before leaving, Sharon had tidied everything with meticulous care. The curtains fluttered softly in the breeze, filling the room with a sense of absence.

He lifted the pillow she had slept on and inhaled deeply.

He couldn’t afford to idle any longer. He had to act-while he still could.

After she settled into the hotel, Sharon resumed her competitions.

And just as before, Julliard lingered at her side from time to time, protecting her safety.

That day, she had just finished a match and was leaving with Wendy.

“The next round is the last before the finals,” Wendy said, eyes gleaming with excitement. ” Just imagining you taking the championship makes me thrilled already.”

But a trace of fatigue weighed down Sharon’s brows. Too much had happened recently, leaving her no real joy.

She couldn’t be genuinely happy while Carter remained unconscious.

Julliard’s car waited at the curb. The moment he saw her, he stepped out and opened the door

for her.

“Thank you,” Sharon said, preparing to get in.

But before she could, Wendy’s sudden shriek split the air.

“Sharon, look out!”

Sharon instinctively turned her head. Her pupils constricted in shock.

A car was barreling straight toward them at terrifying speed.

Julliard reacted instantly, shoving Sharon out of harm’s way. They barely escaped being crushed beneath the oncoming vehicle.

When the attackers realized they had missed, the van screeched to a halt. Its doors burst open, and several men came charging out toward her.

Julliard and the bodyguards hidden in the shadows rushed to intercept.

It was a van-packed with seven or eight trained fighters.

Xavier’s bodyguards, seeing the ambush, also emerged to shield Sharon.

Even so, one man managed to break through the line, weapon in hand, lunging straight for

Sharon!
